Please note: This tour is conducted on Mountain Bikes. Limited EBike upgrades are available as an optional extra (at an additional cost) and are subject to availability. Please book in advance to secure yours.

Rickety Bridge Wine Estate
Rickety Bridge Winery is a historic Franschhoek wine estate. Situated in the famous Franschhoek Valley, which is known as the food and wine capital of South Africa, the Rickety Bridge winery is nestled against the hillside overlooking vineyards and majestic Mountains.
La Bri Estate
Established in the late 17th century, La Bri has been a source of fine wines for many years. Surrounded by approximately fifteen hectares of vineyards, besides a river, at the foot of the Franschhoek mountains, La Bri is a small, quiet, very beautiful place. Applying traditional & modern methods, this wine farm is known for its superior quality wine that embodies all that is unique to La Bri.

5.00We enjoyed a beautiful day biking around the Franschhoek area. We tasted at two vineyards and took a scenic ride through several others. Our guide, Carlo, kept his energy high and was encouraging to us as we cycled the hills. He shared the history of the region in addition to speaking about the wines, which we really appreciated. We had one non-drinker in the group, and we were accommodated without missing a beat. We didn't ask for any special accommodation, but both wineries provided a non-alcoholic option. This was a nice touch that helped everyone feel included. It is a fun way to get active, see the beautiful town, and learn a little along the way.
Nice ride through nature and vineyards with the friends.

5.00Great experience with Guide Walter who knew a lot about the nature and history of all the beautiful things. The bikes were neatly adjusted and an explanation was given before departure about the bike and the tour to be driven. A helmet is mandatory because they officially have no bike lanes.. But as an experienced cyclist that is so and so no problem.

5.00Keenan and Abi took us (family of 4) on our bike tour, visiting 3 estates and providing interesting information en route. It was a really fun day, and I highly recommend it.

4.00We took off with our guide Keenan on a chilly May morning. Keenan stopped regularly to give us information on sights we passed through during the morning. Our first winery stop was at La Bri where we had wine pairings with chocolate. The lady there was very friendly and obviously very knowledgeable. The second stop at Rickety Bridge was very busy but they were friendly enough. We cycled past a few very fancy wine estates and saw parts of Franschhoek we wouldn't otherwise have seen. A good cycle tour.

5.00Luckily the best weather of our entire week in the Cape Town area was the day we drove to Franschoek for our bike tour! We arrived at the meeting point to find Albi had our bikes and snacks ready to go. Stunning scenery and easy riding through a few wine estates, including an extended stop with the most amazing cheese platter made for a great way to see the area. Albi was very entertaining and knowledgable about the area. A real highlight talking with him about his experiences living in South Africa. Highly recommend visiting Franschoek and joining a Bikes 'N Wines tour.
