Auschwitz-Birkenau is a terrible but also terribly educational place. Take DutchPoint Kraków with a Dutch Guide to the camp where more than 1.2 million people were killed, including about 60,000 Dutch and 24,000 Belgians. During this excursion (6 hours excl. travel time) with a Dutch Guide we walk through Museum Auschwitz I and also see the impressive Dutch barracks - Flemish guests see the Belgian ones - and walk through a gas chamber. After a break we go to the huge Birkenau. There we visit barracks - which give a good idea of the living conditions - and the remains of gas chambers II and III. We end the excursion at the monument of Monowitz (Auschwitz III). It is possible to visit the bookstores along the way and there are 5 sanitary stops.

Our excursion begins at Auschwitz I and takes you through the former camp, which is now a museum. Through photos and the original barracks, we will tell you the story from the first deportations to the liberation on January 27, 1945. 80 minutes - transfer from Krakow to Oświęcim 15 minutes - restroom break / entry 150 minutes - visit to Auschwitz I
After a short break, we’ll take the bus to the Judenrampe, the spot between Auschwitz I and Birkenau where trains arrived, and people were selected. From there, we walk the same route as those who were taken to Birkenau. At Birkenau, we’ll visit the wooden barracks that give a clear view of the living conditions during the war years. We’ll walk past the train station toward the remains of gas chambers II and III. Afterward, we’ll visit the Dutch monument. Then, we’ll return to the gate and make a brief stop at the bookstore. 30 minutes - transfer from Auschwitz I to Birkenau and break 90 minutes - visit to Auschwitz II-Birkenau 30 minutes - visit to the Judenrampe

5.00The excursion to Auschwitz was an unforgettable experience. Together with my two grown-up sons I got to do this. Very impressive what we saw and heard in and about Auschwitz. Dutchpoint provides enough clear information in advance to embark on this journey. Marijke our Dutch guide was great. She has provided us with a lot of information in a pleasant way. She knows so much about Auschwitz. Marijke’s passion and interest for her work is evident. She knows how to convey the feeling and emotion of that terrible place very well. Everything fine arranged. 5.00Wesley showed us around very nicely. A lot of feeling for the sad side of the excursion. What an extra enrichment is that Wesley knows many NL anecdotes about Auschwitz. Everything was well arranged with packed lunch and drinks.

5.00Together with my daughter, I visited Auschwitz & Birkenau, with a Dutch guide. Everything was very well organized. The group consisted of a dozen people. The guide, Wesley, was extremely knowledgeable about everything. The explanation and interaction was optimal. Highly recommended!

5.00Participated in this tour under the very pleasant and expert guidance of Jeroen. Clear, beautiful and honest stories. Left on time and because it was fairly quiet (we are gambling because of the marathon) more seen than would otherwise be the case. Despite the early time (05:30 departures) I recommend this tour to everyone.

5.00We had an impressive and excellently organized excursion. We left early on (at 5.40am with a van from Krakow), but that turned out to be a big advantage: both in Auschwitz I and Auschwitz-Birkenau we got there before the crowds. Our guide Wesley gave the tour in a pleasant and respectful way. He has a lot of knowledge and used a good pace through the museums, so everything remained easy to follow. His commitment and passion to convey the gripping story of Auschwitz were clearly noticeable and that made a big impression. Thank you, Wesley, for this special experience.
