Once you disembark from the ship, I will wait for you at the cruise terminal, at the gate 5 exit of the port of Messina where I will be there waiting for you with a sign with your name and surname. From here we will begin our journey to Savoca, which will last approximately 1 hour by car.

We will stop in the art city of Savoca where we can visit the Vitelli bar, where it will be possible to taste a typical Sicilian granita. Another stop on our tour will be the church of "Santa Maria in cielo Assunta" which we also find in some excerpts of the film such as that of the wedding between Michael Corleone and Apollonia.

We had an amazing tour with Alessandro - were picked up at our ship, then driven to Savoca to see The Godfather sights and have a coffee. Then to Taormina and Castelmola, with stops for photos, shopping and food/coffees as needed. One of our group has limited mobility and was accommodated wonderfully. I highly recommend this private tour for being able to get close to sights and have a personal touch. This tour was absolutely the highlight of our Mediterranean cruise!

My husband previously wrote a great review but I wanted to add something. We traveled with my dad in an electric wheelchair and Alessandro and Marisa made sure we took accessible routes. We got to see so much and learned a lot of history while having so much fun!

Marisa and Alessandro were excellent as guide and driver in Sicily, obviously very knowledgeable and informative, and lots of fun as well. They were very well prepared too, as we ran into some unexpected rain and they had 4 umbrellas handy. We highly recommend them to cruise travelers over the excursions the cruise lines provide. Ask them to take you to the Turrisi Bar!
