Discover the vineyards and taste all kinds of Champagne, which range from great Champagne houses to small producers. Start your day with a sightseeing of the city of Reims, followed by a guided tour of Reims UNESCO world Heritage Cathedral. Enjoy a tour and Champagne tasting at the world famous Veuve Clicquot Champagne estate. Then, enjoy a lunch at local restaurant (included).

After that, our guide will drive you through the Reims Mountain Grand Cru vineyard. You will finish the day with Champagne tasting and a cellar tour at a Champagne family Grower .

Please note the tour departs from the city of Reims. If you are not staying in Reims, you will have to book and pay for your own transport to get there. We recommend to book your tickets in advance.

Train recommendations : MONDAY to SATURDAY - TGV train 2709 from Paris-Est station at 8.28AM ; Arrival at Reims station at 9.14AM / SUNDAY - TGV train 2407 from Paris-Est station at 7.58AM, Arrival at Champagne-Ardenne station at 8.38AM /After your tour, any train from Reims station after 5.45PM.

PICK UP ON SUNDAY : if you are coming from Paris by train on the day of the tour, our guide will pick you up at 9.00AM (not 9.30AM) in front of the main entrance of the Champagne-Ardenne station. If you are already staying in Reims on the day before the tour, the meeting point will be at the Tourist Office of the Reims train station at 9.20AM.

Thoroughly enjoyed having a private tour for our group of seven. Pierre our guide spoke excellent English and kept everyone entertained. Unfortunately did not get to see the cathedral as the train back to Paris we needed to be on left at 4:15. Other options are available, but you need to put some time into planning the train rides.

I’m physically ill over how much I spent on this tour for what it was. Sure, pick up was great, Veuve was amazing, and a quick tour of Reims cathedral was great too. But the second half of the day is where it goes downhill. We spent more time driving to a quaint cafe and sitting there for what seemed like forever and given a choice of skate wing or castrated rooster, an appetizer or dessert and a small glass of champagne. Then we spent more time in the car and when we finally made it to the next champagne house - your driver gives you a quick tour and then you get 2 small glasses. I’d recommend saving your money and booking directly with the champagne houses. Felt like we wasted so much time driving and sitting around for lunch.

It’s a lovely day-long tour with lunch, plenty of amazing information, background and history. Outstanding tour guide. A very memorable experience not to be missed if you love champagne and it’s fascinating history!

Tours such as these are made or fail based on the tour Guide. Most certainly the venues, no doubt, are paramount but without a knowledgeable guide you are only half way there. Radames was our Expert Guide with France Intense for an amazing Champagne Tour of Veuve Clicquot and Michel Fagot. Radames’ long tenure in the region, expertise and affability were key to an extremely enjoyable tour. Rads intimate understanding is buttressed by the simple fact he lives right in the middle of the Champagne Region. The lunch was clearly classic French “home cooking” and enjoyed by all. Suffice it to say…book this tour, have Radames as your guide, sit back and enjoy. And remember! Save the water… Drink the Champagne! Debra & James NorCal USA
