Plaza de Mayo
The May Square is located in the Porteño Downtown, neighborhood of Monserrat, in the area where the foundation of Buenos Aires took place. The Plaza de Mayo is the most important and oldest public square of the city. The name of this square commemorates the Revolution of May 25, 1810, date in which the citizens gathered around to expel the Viceroy and formed a creole government. Since then, the Square has been a silent witness to the most important political and social events in the country.
San Telmo
San Telmo is an old neighborhood with a bohemian touch thanks to its temporary art galleries, night bars and street murals. The Defensa street, full of antique shops and bustling brasseries, passes through the Dorrego square, where many tourists come on Sundays to see the street market and street performances. Winding roads run through Lezama Park among jacaranda trees. The neighborhood is full of exclusive restaurants with tango shows.

We had an awesome tour of buenos aires with Pablo. He was very knowledgeable about the history and background of all that we saw. He took us to LaBoca in the am before the crowds for the soccer game arrived (smart!) He also was very intune with all the participants abilities and needs as far as how far to walk and what we were interested in. He even shared his Matte with us 🥰 It was a beautiful day and we thank Pablo for that!

When I took this tour, I was the only one in the group, and it was my first time visiting the city. Pablo, our guide, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He took me to all the key landmarks, and even though we moved quickly through some areas, he made sure to spend extra time at the spots that piqued my interest. He was always happy to answer any questions, and his deep knowledge of the city's history, architecture, and culture made the experience even more enjoyable. I really appreciated the conversation and the insights into the city's background. Here are a few highlights from the tour: 1. Tigre – Learned about the unique way of life of people living in the swamp and along the river. 2. Centro – Explored the city's historic architecture, including government buildings and embassies. 3, Recoleta – Fascinating insights into the mausoleum styles and how some tombs are much larger than they appear on the surface. 4. Retiro – Saw the contrast between the wealthier parts of the city and the nearby slums. 5. Puerto Madero – Learned about the history of the area before its modern transformation, including its bridges. Overall, this tour is well worth your time. I highly recommend it, especially for first-time visitors to the city.

My tour guide Pablo was amazing. As no one else booked the tour it was private. I got to see so many sights in Buenos Aires over about 8 hours. We drove to sights and then I got to walk around which was lovely (wear comfortable shoes). The weather was fab and the Tigre boat ride was therapeutic and was a welcome escape from the city hustle and bustle. I’d definitely recommend this tour as you get to see everything including Recoleta Cemetery in a day. They also provided lots of drinks and snacks.
