5.00I highly recommend this tour. It was my favorite tour when I was in Vilnius. The whole trip took 8 hours because it’s a long drive, so be ready for a lot of downtime in a van. Totally worth the experience though! My driver was very friendly and personable.
This visit will stay in my memory for a long time

5.00I was picked up from the bus stop opposite the bell tower on Cathedral Square right on schedule. It's a 3-hour drive to the Hill of Crosses from Vilnius, so our driver broke the journey by taking us to the Musios Misko Park en route. His very informative walk around the park explained the long history of Lithuanian resistance against foreign invaders or occupiers and how the tradition of carving and placing ornate wooden crosses developed. This was a good appetiser for the truly extraordinary Hill of Crosses. We were given an hour to explore it and an hour was necessary - there are thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of crosses of all shapes and sizes placed on and around the hill and paths have been placed to weave their way round them. The guide told us the three stories which could explain the origin of the hill, but left it to us to decide which was the most plausible. In late autumn, it was extremely atmospheric and something I would not have missed. The experience will stay with me for a long time. After that we needed lunch and our guide took us to a nearby restaurant and recommended traditional Lithuanian dishes, which were tasty and filling. After that we started the long drive back to Vilnius and were back by 5pm. All in all, fantastic value and a great insight into Lithuanian culture and history.

5.00Our driver was very cool since he worked in the film industry and I had happened to watch a movie he worked on! It's a long drive, but the countryside is gorgeous and I appreciated seeing what the bulk of Lithuania outside the cities looks like. Saw some wildlife too! The stories of the two locations sites was really moving/inspiring and gave me a deeper appreciation for the Lithuanian weltanschauung.

5.00We had a great day with Anders learning about the role of crosses in Lithuanian history. The walk through the Great Partisans Battle Park gave us good background to important moments in history. The Hill of Crosses was very poignant and we were given plenty of time to walk through the area and look around. Delicious lunch stop on the way back rounded off a really good day.
Breathtaking. A must see.

5.00My husband and I enjoyed this private tour with host Adam! He was extremely knowledgeable and informative across many topics that we discussed such as Lithuanian history/culture, Soviet history, historical life events, religion and geography. We enjoyed our conversations and day with Adam that will continue to be our favorite experience of the trip. The first stop going to the Hill of Crosses was an extra bonus we were lucky to have had! And the Hill itself was powerfully beautiful. We recommend booking this tour with Adam!!

1.00received confirmation but driver never showed. When called he stated car left without me. He stated that I would have to deal with someone on problem not him.

5.00So, I went on this tour kinda last minute, didn’t have crazy expectations—just figured, hey, a hill with a bunch of crosses, why not? But man, it turned out to be one of the coolest and most unexpectedly deep places I’ve visited. The ride there was smooth, guide was super easygoing, cracked some jokes, and made the history feel more like a good story than a history lesson. No info overload, just the right amount to make you appreciate the place more.
I enjoyed this tour! The Hill of Crosses is a must visit site

5.00The Hill of Crosses is a must see site in Lithuania. I had a fantastic experience on this tour. I was the only one who booked so they offered me a private tour with an extra cost of 50 euros or I would’ve had to cancel, I accepted it. Andrius was my driver + tour guide and he did an excellent job. I learned a lot about Lithuania’s history from him since he did a great job explaining everything to me throughout the whole day tour. The first stop we visited was the Great Battle District Partisan’s Park where we walked the forest for about 45 minutes while Andrius told me about Lithuania’s history. After that then he drove me to the Hill of Crosses, where I got to spend an hour exploring the hill at my own pace and wow what a site it was… one of the most interesting sites I’ve visited worldwide. This was definitely the highlight of my short stay in Vilnius. Be aware though the ride from Vilnius to both of these sites will be long - a couple hours to and from the city - so be prepared for that. Don’t miss the Hill of Crosses when you come to visit Lithuania and I highly recommend booking your experience with this tour company. - Nolan

5.00A very nice and cozy town. Many good and not expensive restaurants. Many cozy terraces. Much of Vilnius is traffic-free and ideal for hiking. It is a highly recommended destination Vilnius for those who want to get away for a few days and do not want to pay the usury prices as in many more famous European capitals.
