If you have never seen a glacier before and you would like to experience these stunning ice giants a little bit closer, come to the breathtaking area of Skaftafell. Skaftafell is located in Vatnajökull national park, the filming location of movies like Batman Begins, Interstellar and the Game of Thrones series. To maximize the time spent on ice, we drive all the way to the terminus of Falljökull glacier in our 4×4 truck. Before you step on to the ice you will learn the proper way to put on and use the provided glacier gear. We aim to spend around one and a half hour on the ice, exploring moulins, crevasses and more other-wordly formations. Along the way your guide will share ineresting facts about these formations and the origins of the glacier as well as interesting local stories.

5.00What an experience being on a glacier! The views were absolutely stunning and the photos turned out great. Really cannot be happier to have Woody as our guide for the 4.5hour glacier adventure. His experience and all the interesting sharings made the whole trip memorable. And we were lucky to be able to experience the adventure with just the 2 of us (+ woody). 5.00A superb welcome from Uri and Camille then we went in 4x4 until the start of the glacier. We were immensely fortunate to be in a select committee which allowed us to ask a lot of questions and make beautiful photos. Guides who shared their good humor, their professionalism which allowed us to learn a lot of things, to marvel at this landscape and all that, safely. Recommended:)

5.00The trip was really fun thanks to Jose. He was extremely patient with our group of 7. Some of us had some injuries and were terrified crossing the crevices but Jose was so patient helping us cross and taught us the right way to climb and descent the glacier. It was truly fun!

5.00José was a superstar guide, very patient, clear in his instructions, alert and empathetic. He had strategised our route so that we got used to the more challenging parts first. We also saw different beautiful parts of the glacier and admire the best views. We were a group of 7 and everyone was well looked after. Thank you José for getting me to walk behind him so that I was safe and had more confidence to complete the hike!

5.00Incredible experience from José. Definitely the best of Iceland! Our guide was very professional, attentive and friendly. It is definitely worth booking this tour because you are taken in a prepared vehicle and left at the foot of the tongue of the glacier, when most groups did the tour on foot, so you enjoy more time of the experience. A small group is also appreciated. You get to ask a lot of things and feel safer with a professional watching you.

5.00I loved our small group! Only 4 of us with our guide. We went at our own pace. But what I am thankful for is that this company drives to the base of the glacier, where we saw other companies and everyone was hiking in to get to our starting point. After being at base, it is still a hike getting to the point of actually being on the ice. It is quite a steep hike at times. It was a great experience but you do need some physical capabilities... this hike is not for everyone. They say it's easy in advertisement but easy is different for everyone. I highly recommend - do the adventure!

5.00Jose was excellent. He was so informative about the glacier and associated geology. He emphasized safety first which was so important to me. He was patient, friendly and engaging. He listened to what was of interest to us in particular. We had a great time and thought the experience was very worthwhile.

5.00Our guide José made our experience on the glacier simply wonderful. My daughter really enjoyed it, and so did we. The crampon walk was beautiful, dynamic and, above all, safe, thanks to their advice and care at all times. An experience we recommend without hesitation!
