We will begin the walking tour in Chennai at Kapaaleswar Temple, the most famous temple in Mylapore. The Temple is the epicenter of Mylapore and our guide will demystify all the fantastic rituals that are happening in the temple!
Sri Ramakrishna Math
Next in our Chennai walk we will visit the monastery and universal temple of Ramakrishna, one of India's greatest philosophers. Our cultural evangelist will explain his contribution to Indian philosophy, his belief in harmony of religions. His stellar work in acting as a bridge between the ancient and modern worlds.

5.00Even though I went alone, I had an amazing time. He helped me immerse myself in the local culture and introduced me to the traditional filtered coffee ☕️😋 At the end, he made sure I got back to my hotel safely, helping me find a taxi since I didn’t have internet. He was very patient. And he took the best photos of me 🌸😍

5.00This was a very nice tour of the major temples and places of worship with Natarajan. Our 3 teenagers enjoyed it and he shared lots of information about the history and architecture of the buildings. Walking was a thrilling adventure and we were even able to take a detour to see another site that was not on the itinerary. He remained focused but flexible. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a good way to spend an afternoon in Chennai.

Chennai has incredibly rich religious history and traditions, and this tour is the best way to see a few of the highlights. Our guide, Kannan, was deeply knowledgeable and hospitable. 5.00I went on the Mylapore tour with my guide Natarajan today. He arrived early and it was a wonderful experience, nothing was too much trouble. I have had highly experienced guides in the past who were not as knowledgeable or as accomodating to my needs. I really recommend this tour from a very kind and considerate man. Do it!

5.00I had a great tour of Mylapore with Natarajan - the temples were amazing and he had lots of interesting information about the places we visited and the history of Chennai more generally. Also enjoyed the stop for filter coffee and to talk about South Indian food. He accommodated some changes to the tour despite a lot of rain so we could still see the sights. Would definitely recommend!
