Great experience. Mosquitos were crazy! But crew had bug spray so that helped a lot. Other than that it was so cool to swim in the dark and see everything light up like that.

They were excellent! Allowed us to join at Starfish bay - saved us over an hour driving back and forth across the island. They made the experience a lot of fun!

Pepe and the crew were awesome. They made sure to stop at an area where we would have the best experience. They were also very knowledgeable and helpful.

We had 6 people from 19 to 54 years old and this was, by far, the favorite activity on our trip. It was an amazing spectacle. Unbelievable. The crew was very attentive to whatever we needed. They prepared us well for the outing and we all felt very safe. They supplied plastic bins to keep your personal belongings safe. There was a fresh water rinse off for after. I would DEFINITELY book with this tour again.

This was one of the coolest things ever. My wife and I both enjoyed the experience of a rare phenomenon. Would definitely do this again and recommend to others.

Our excursion was a rainy one, but we went anyway. The guys got us a dry tub immediately when we got on the boat. We only saw two starfish. I’m not sure if that’s because of the time of day (evening) or the weather…or the fact that I got stung by jellyfish in several places and made a beeline for the boat. One of the guides gave me a packet of stuff to put on the stings that really helped. I would have been so bad, but when I looked over, another boat of people all had dive skins on already and were standing in a circle. Their guide was shining a flashlight down into the water and talking to them about the starfish. I was wishing I had, been on that boat. I would say, request the dive skins to wear at Starfish Point if you can. We had really no guidance and they seemed shocked that several of us got stung. Next, we went over to Bioluminescent Bay to swim around the boat in dive skins they provided. One of the guys jumped in the water to demonstrate how moving around is what causes the cool light effect. Again, this would have been a great time to talk about what is really happening to create this phenomenon. They did offer an inflatable life vest that may have made things more enjoyable. It was hard to juggle the camera and snorkel while treading water. We got under our pontoon boat that kept the light away so we could get the most out of the experience. That was cool. The ride back was a fast one and that’s why they recommend a sweatshirt or jacket. You definitely want a jacket that will keep you dry!! We had rain jacket/wind breakers. Another dry towel would have made it perfect. So was it worth it? Meh. The moon was a 1/2 waxing gibbous, so maybe there was too much light. I don’t know. I really wanted the guys to explain more. They did hand us a card of information as we got off the boat that would have been awesome to read ON THE WAY to Starfish Point. Don’t get me wrong, they were super nice and still tipped them! I’m glad I went, but doubt I would do it again. Consequently, we drove to Starfish Point a couple of days later in the morning and saw many more starfish.

The experience was amazing, and the crew was fantastic. We did miss out on some of the sailing experience, but that was our choice. They were nice enough to pick us up at Starfish Point, which took 35 minutes off our drive from the East End. The water where the experience takes place is calm, making it easy to snorkel. If you're able to swim under the boat, the effect is magnetized due to the darkness.
