  I visited the Great Wall in March last year, and it was honestly one of the most unforgettable travel experiences I’ve ever had. Spring turned out to be the perfect time to explore the Wall. The weather was cool and comfortable — not too hot, not too cold — which made the climb much more enjoyable. The mountains surrounding the Wall were just beginning to turn green again after winter, and in some areas, I could see early blossoms adding soft touches of color to the landscape. The scenery felt fresh and full of life. I visited the Badaling section, which is well-restored and relatively easy to access. Even though it’s a popular area, March wasn’t overly crowded. I was able to walk at my own pace, stop for photos, and really take in the views without feeling rushed. The sky was clear that day, and the Wall stretched endlessly across the rolling hills — it truly felt surreal seeing something so iconic in real life. Be prepared for a workout! Some sections are quite steep, and the steps can be uneven. Wearing comfortable shoes is definitely important. But every climb was worth it. Standing at one of the watchtowers and looking out over the endless mountains gave me a deep appreciation for the history and scale of this incredible structure. Visiting in spring made the experience even more special — the combination of mild weather, beautiful scenery, and manageable crowds created the perfect atmosphere. If you’re planning a trip to China, I highly recommend visiting the Great Wall in March. It’s a breathtaking experience that absolutely lives up to its reputation.

  I had another wonderful day tour of Badaling Great Wall and Ming Tomb tour. I have booked for the group tour and I was picked up from the hotel by the car. The driver took me to the place where my Guide Michael Shi is awaiting for my onward tour. Michale informed me that I am the only person for the group tour and said that I will be lucky to have VIP tour with private car for the same price of the group tour. I purchased the Cable car ticket to reach to the Great Wall top. To my surprise Mr.Michale Shi also accompanied me in Cable Car and with me all along for the entire time. Being a guide for a single tourist, he took me to the most beautiful senic locations and took wonderful pictures for me Iike a personal photographer. These photographs are wonderful memories for my life time. Thank God, my group tour was not canceled by the tour operator nor asked for extra money for the private tour. Mr.Michael Shi is speaking very Good English and explained the Chinese history and Chinese Dynasty in an interesting manner. I really appreciate him to represent himself on behalf of Chinese people and their culture. He also explained about traditional Chinese food habits and methods for maintaining good health. It’s worth having a guided tour especially for a solo travellers. As part of tour package, We had a wonderful buffet lunch. After lunch, we visited the Ming Tomb, Mr.Michael Shi explained minute details of the history of the tomb and its significance to Chinese people. Locations covered at both places are really memorable and worth seeing it. At the end of the tour, I was dropped to my hotel by a Car. All in all It was a memorable day at Great Wall and Ming Tomb.

  Had a nice day with Bruce touring the Great Wall and Ming Tomb. Despite the cold February weather, the Great Wall was quite busy but we managed to see what we wanted. The Ming Tomb was very interesting and Bruce did a good job taking us through the history.

  It was a very relaxed and cozy round, there were people from different countries and you could exchange ideas! We had plenty of time to see the sights and take pictures everywhere, but when we were through faster, we went straight away (no waiting for anyone or anything). Can only recommend to have participated and seen it at least once!

  Michael Shi -our tour guide- was very nice with us. He explained everything, was punctual and gave us time to take pictures and walk through the places. I would recommend this experience to everyone.
