The tour was great. It was fortunate that I chose an early start as the site filled up very quickly and I have no doubt we would have been waiting in line all day. Luckily I got to see the wall before the mass crowd. Lisa our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and was able to maneuver through the crowds to make sure we had a great experience. We even had a bonus event for our small group where she introduced us to a tea house and jade museum. Overall a great experience.

We chose this area to see the wall because it was less crowded and there were fewer tourist attractions. It was beautiful. The guide was very informative. We also went to see the tomb which was nice, but this is not a necessary thing to add. They took us to a large jade store that is connected to a large restaurant where we had lunch. I do not recommend buying from this store as the prices were high. The lunch was average. They took us to a nice tea shop for a demonstration and to purchase tea. The demonstration was good, and the tea was also good.

Recommended optional extra cable car ride to reach the highest points of the Badaling Great Wall more easily. Fantastic lunch. Ming tombs were most inspiring. Our guide Lisa was exceptional - a bundle of knowledge, fun and enthusiasm.
