You'll be fishing at all the best local fishing spots in the Whistler area which are all a short drive away from the Whistler Village so your fishing time is maximized

What To Expect

IMPORTANT: Here at Whistler Year-Round Fishing we practice catch & release for ALL trips. Under NO exceptions do we keep fish to bring home to eat. A guided fishing trip is a great way to experience everything beautiful Whistler has to offer; wildlife, glaciers, rain forests and of course...wild fish. For all our trips we put you in a pair of stylish waders and boots and walk along lakes, creek mouths and rivers in pursuit of wild trout & salmon. Depending on the time of year, our guide will select a water body that will ensure the highest probability of putting you on fish.

Our experience started with a quick drive to the parking lot, where our guide Dawson quickly got us outfitted into the essential gear to wade into the water for fly fishing. Then we had an incredible short hike through the forest to the lake where he took us to the perfect, and one of the most unreal and scenic spots I have ever fished. The fish were biting and it was a lot of fun for the whole family! Dawson was great at making sure my wife and daughter knew the ins and outs of working a fly rod as this was their first time, and he even had some great pointers for me as it had been a while since I had done any fly fishing. 10/10 experience!!!

So cool trying fly fishing for the first time. Matt was awesome at teaching techniques and very patient when lines got tangled etc. All of us caught at least one fish. Great intro to a new way to fish!!

This was my son’s first time on a fly rod and it was a perfect spot to just get out quick and have a fun time! Dawson was an awesome guide. Close to town so no time was wasted!

Loved this unique experience! The owner of the business Matt is fantastic and picked us up from the hotel and dropped us back after. Cole took well care of us for the duration of the fishing trip and it was such a fun experience! We really loved the lake they took us to because we were fly fishing in glacial waters while viewing the snow capped mountains surrounding us. Quite a magical experience. We caught about 7 fish and fish were biting when we went in early May.

Matt picked me, my 13 yo son and 16 yo son up right at the Hilton and drove us to a local river to fish.. He had a very efficient system to get us suited up in our waders and we fished several different spots in the river. We are are fairly beginners when it comes to fishing but Matt was very patient and kind teaching us some skills and we caught a few fish! We had a great time despite it being near zero degrees and would strongly recommend this fishing trip!
