5.00Chepe was a great guide. He took us to all of the highlights of the city. I recommend taking this tour. We enjoyed seeing all of the sites. He also told us the history of the area.

5.00Valera was amazing and took us to the most wonderful restaurant, Crew Heaven! Food was so good and wine was delicious! Valera let us decide what we would see and I hope everyone that goes to Puerto Plata will take one of his tours! It was the highlight of my vacation

5.00We were on a Carnival Cruise that stopped in Amber Cove and we wanted to tour the city outside of Amber Cove and it’s called Puerto Plata and I’m so glad we did! When you arrive to the port you will walk all the way outside of the port area and you will see guys with green shirts and that’s when we were assigned “Jeremy Pascual” to be our driver and we had such an excellent private tour experience from beginning to the end. Jeremy fully customized our tour to our liking - we went to Monkey Land, tour of the city “Umbrella Street” and some other popular tourist places. He drove us all over I think our tour was about 5.5 hours we had such a unique experience. I highly recommend this company and Jeremy!

5.00Picked up on time, described history of area and culture in detail. Very friendly, about 3 to 4 hours. We were picked up in air conditioned van with working seat belts and Chepe drove us to all the itinerary items listed. In addition, he asked what eles we would like to do such as cigar factory and chocolate shop without any pressure tactics. Really enjoyed.

5.00I had an top notch experience with Chepe in Puerto Plata. I've done a lot of traveling, but this was my first time in Puerto Plata. I wanted to do more than visit the "tourist" attractions; I wanted an experience that was reflective of thr culture and the people. This tour was customized based on my preferences and was exactly what I wanted. The downtown area was highlight for me. I loved visiting the beautiful church and experiencing the vibrant energy of the Dominican people. I stopped by the beach, got a great view of the city, had some local chocolate, and experience a wonderful meal. The tour was approx 3 hours which was perfect since I was visiting on a cruise ship. Chepe, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the history. I had a wonderful time. I highly recommend it. I would definitely do it again.

5.00Our family had a wonderful city tour with Fermin! Loved that we were able to go at our own pace and do the things we wanted to do. Booking process was easy through TripAdvisor. Communication with Chepe and Fermin started the day after booking. The duo wanted to understand our families interests and what we wanted to do. Communication was stellar from the time of post-booking until after the tour. Our ship arrived an hour early to port and Fermin was already waiting for us. Although it was a 10 minute walk from the ship to the taxi meeting point (Taino Bay is huge!), Fermin was there waiting for us. The vehicle was clean and AC worked great! Just before arriving at our first stop and lookout point, Fermin stopped at a convenience store on the way and grabbed us local Presidente beers and gave us water and fruit soda for the kids which was nice and hospitable. We went to a beautiful lookout point with a great view of Puerto Plata. We then continued our journey to a cigar shop where my son learned how to roll a cigar and where we were able to try some local cigars. If you a cigar aficionado like my husband, there isn’t a ton of variety there, but the cigar workers were fun and extremely nice!! We then proceeded to Pink Street and Umbrella Street which were great photo ops but not much else to do there. We ended our trip visiting Fortaleza de San Felipe, which was constructed in 1500’s!! Well preserved fort with an incredible seaside view!! There were small hills and my kids had a great time rolling down them. This tour was a great family experience for all ages - our group ranged from 4 to 68! I would highly recommend!
