Our Cultural Safari stands out because we don’t just show places — we connect travelers with the real Dominican culture. We have selected stops so our guests can live authentic experiences: visit local communities, see how cacao and coffee are made in an artisanal way, visit the Basilica of Higüey, enjoy a typical Dominican lunch by the river, and interact with local people.
In addition, we keep smaller groups to offer a more personalized experience, a more human connection, and allow the traveler to ask questions, learn, and truly feel the Dominican Republic from the inside.

The Basilica of Higüey, officially named the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Altagracia, is a Catholic sanctuary located in Salvaleón de Higüey, Dominican Republic. It is the cathedral of the Diocese of Our Lady of Altagracia in Higüey, and one of the most visited sanctuaries in the Caribbean. Beautiful construction, design and architecture. You must dress appropriately for the church, with shoulders and knees covered.

2.00I appreciate the pick up from our hotel. The horse back riding was a blast. The cigar making was very quick. They're mainly trying to sell you whatever they can. Macao beach would be nice if they people weren't trying to push all their trinkets on you. They get you by giving you a cheap little bracelet while guiding you to their storefront. One man was really aggressive. Just be firm and tell them youre not interested unless you are obviously.

5.00Second time with Chris and it was fabulous ,will do it over again.The hospitality,the fun .It was an amazing road trip .Been in the farm to see the cacao trees and coffee beans .Cigar Factuary .It was super fun .Thank you Chris .

5.00Christopher was a wonderful host! Very knowledgeable and good sense of humor. Late pickup due to traffic but he made sure we still got our full time and all events as promised. Driver was excellent as well and always felt safe. Well worth the money and then some! Excellent way to experience the culture outside of the resort.

3.00Mixed experience, I think in this kind of experience, guide animation does a lot. He picked us up from the hotel 20 minutes late, waiting for it to be in a small tourist open van, like the one in the picture, disappointed it was a valve, which goes to several hotels to look for guests, and we started the tour two hours later. We booked a guide in French and in the car he told us that he had no guide in French that day. We started with a horseback ride with Jesus very nice, after making cigars, a visit to the vegetable and fruit market which is not interesting very small dirty and very expensive. The meal prepared by the locals was very good and the visit to local interesting but embarrassing to enter the privacy of people. At this visit he had a group that the guide spoke several languages and he explained to us in French the making of cocoa vanilla coffee etc which was very interesting and the guide very nice.

5.00Christopher was friendly, respectful and very helpful. The vehicle was clean? Well maintained and he drives well. We enjoyed our trip immensely and would do it again. Highly recommended.
