  This experience was definitely worth it. You have to wake up super early for this trip but you are the first ones on the beach and enjoy peace and quiet for sometime. This is a hot spot and as the day progressed it got very crowded quickly. The lunch provided was really good and catered for all types of meal preferences. The guide spoke English and was very knowledgeable in all that was shared. Definitely recommend this tour and will do it again .

  Melvin was an amazing host/guide - very knowledgeable about DR history and super hospitable. Got to spend ample time at all 3 stops to do all we wanted to on Saona Island. Lunch was hot, plentiful and delicious! I didn’t want the day to end -we were the furthest pickup, so we were earliest pickup and the last drop off, so it was a long day but I wouldn’t change a thing! Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun day trip!!

  Amazing day! The early morning departure was well worth it. We were the first boat to arrive at each stop on the tour (and there were MANY MORE after us) so had the beaches, sandbars, turtles and starfish all to ourselves for most of the time. The small group size (13), allowed our awesome tour guide, Melvin, to answer everyone’s questions and for the participants to get to know each other a bit. We became Melvin’s family for the day. He provided a very informative and interesting history lesson on the DR, Saona and the sea turtle sanctuary. The starfish were very cool. The beaches and water were spectacular. Breakfast and lunch were delicious. Drinks (alcoholic or not, included in fee) flowed steadily all day long. Definitely spring for the extra charge for the mouthwatering fresh made piña coladas. Captain Pepe and first mate Kevin took great care of us on our boat. The scenery while cruising was incredible. Convenient pick up and drop off at our Airbnb. This is definitely the best Saona tour out there!

  Melvin was an AMAZING host! We had such a fabulous day. Traveled with family. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the day! We loved the small group and the service that was provided by everyone involved! We enjoyed all the stops, though we did not get to see any turtles at the turtle sanctuary. The beach was awesome and the starfish snorkeling was fun. At the end, we only got to snorkel for 15 to 20 minutes at the reef. So if you are looking for a snorkeling day, this might not be the excursion for you. But everything else was beyond amazing! We had a fabulous day!

  Fantastic day and experience, Melvin is a super professional guy doing everything very interesting with a mix of fun and culture. He pays attention to all the details trying at all times to make sure we were having a great time.
