This was the perfect way to spend a day here in the Dominican Republic! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and made it fun. And it was the most beautiful water I’ve ever seen. Seeing the starfish was my favorite part :)

I highly recommend this trip it is worth the money to have the private tour we had only 9 people and it allow you to have the time to enjoy and see everything and get a more personal experience. We had Melvin and Miguel and couldn't have been more happy with them. The ride to the boat is like 30 minutes and 40 minute boat ride to the 1st stop I would not complain it is worth it. We started off at Mano Juan town and got a light breakfast and got to see the small population of homes and the turtle conservación that was Amazing to see how Negro has done this project on his own and is saving turtles such a kind soul you might get to see turtles hatching and you get to meet him. Melvin explains so much and his heart is like Gold you can tell he truly loves helping others and his job he gives each person a choice of coconut oil or honey and pays to help Negro and he does not try to convince you to buy anything it is not to sell he has a genuine heart and honestly it is good to help others. We finished there and went to the Amazing beautiful Isla Saona Abanico beach and spent 3 hours here they had the best spot reserved for us we were the first ones on this popular island of white Sand and clear turquoise waters. We did not have anyone bothering us to sell us stuff and we were provided a delicious lunch as well. Warning I would bring bug repellent but it was worth the bites. We had delicious pina colodas in the pineapple for only $10 and we had Sasha who took professional pictures of us for very reasonable amount of money it was worth it so we can enjoy our time there and save our batteries on our phones the pictures were Amazing and he was so nice well worth it. We then went to the mangroves and parked for 15 minutes and learned the importantance of it and got to see some sea turtles in the water. We then got to go to a secret beach Palmilla beach as it is right near where they film Survivor and got to see the sets in the water and stopped to get out for 30 minutes and Miguel and Melvin got some starfish so we can hold and take pictures. So beautiful clear water just Amazing. We finally went to Byahibe beach reef where you could enjoy snorkeling of different Fish. We got back at the hotel like 4 30 we left at 6.30 am it was a great day full of adventure and I wouldn't have changed anything it was so fun, beautiful, and a learning experience. Lastly I would add they really take their time and explain things and care about their country and people so tip generously. Thanks Melvin and Miguel blessings to you both.

One of the best tours I've taken with Viator. Our tour gave us an authentic Dominican Republic experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history, industry, agriculture, culture, government, cuisine, conservation efforts in the country. I took the tour in English and had no difficulty understanding him. His passion for his country and ensuring others depart the tour with a greater appreciation and respect for DR is contagious. The tour itinerary was well planned and executed. The food was good. The speedy boat ride was an adventure and early pick up time a bit inconvenient, but what some may see as a sacrifice of comfort, I became an opportunity for more beach time, learning and exploration. Our safety was always of greatest concern. Take this tour! You won't regret the decision.

A fantastic experience, myself and my family agreed this was definitely a highlight of the holiday. The early start is well worth it, our tour guide was so knowledgeable and gave us a real insight into Dominican history, his passion for his culture really stood out and he made our day. By getting to the island early, we avoided the busier periods where many boats started to arrive. It was bliss. We visited the turtle sanctuary, which gave us a real insight into how much effort goes into preserving the species. We also got to hold giant star fish whilst snorkeling in crystal clear waters. Saona Island was a real treat and I can’t thank our guide and crew enough for a truly wonderful day.
