Temple of Demeter

History comes alive at the ancient temple of Demetra, in Sagri Village, dated 530 BC, and dedicated to the goddess of agriculture. Built on the edge of a fertile Naxian valley, as the first Greek temple constructed entirely of marble (its roof as well), it’s of even greater historical importance. Please note : On Tuesdays the temple is closed.A visit to a traditional pottery workshop will be added instead

Loved the array of visits throughout beautiful Naxos with Alex. Amazing tastings, visits with local businesses, and viewings of historical sites. Alex was easy going, fun and a pleasure to spend the day with my 2 adult sons.

Great introduction to the island of Naxos. Well worth the price. Our guide Dimitri was great. After our tour we now have a mu h better idea of what we want to do and where we want to go.

Our driver was great and we had a wonderful time exploring the island. We were able to see the highlights of the island with a personal driver which was very nice as he could tailor it to our needs.
