Lake Titicaca
Lake Titicaca is located between Peru and Bolivia. It is the highest navigable lake in the world, and you will sail around its waters.
Uros Floating Islands
Before boarding the motor boat to Uros Island, we will make a short stop at the dock where you can purchase snacks and bottled water. Once on the boat, our guide will introduce himself and the boat captain before giving you a rundown of the itinerary on Lake Titicaca. During the trip, you will see totora plants growing in the lake. When the boat docks, the island chief will demonstrate how they build the islands out of totora and share a few words in Aymara. The natives are known for their handicrafts, which you will be able to purchase. You will then have the option to sail on a totora boat (15 Soles) to the main island of Uros and get your passport stamped as a souvenir. You can walk to the top deck of the boat and take photos of the floating islands.

5.00We had an amazing experience on this tour! Everything was perfectly organized – we were picked up directly from our hotel and taken care of from the very beginning. Our guide Samuel shared lots of interesting information, which made the trip even more special. The time on the lake was more than enough to get a wonderful impression of the area. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting – truly a memorable experience!
