The breathing sound is the sound that female divers make when they come up to the surface after diving and clear their throats, and it sounds like a whistle. It is the sound of "hooi hooi" that is made when they breathe out all the carbon dioxide that has been accumulated in their bodies while diving for about 1 to 2 minutes and inhale oxygen. Through the "sseobiseori", female divers can quickly take in fresh air into their bodies and continue diving even after a short break.
If there are 13 or more tour guests, an English tour guide will accompany the tour.
Currently, Manjanggul Cave is temporarily closed and is scheduled to reopen after April 2026. Manjanggul Cave information Manjanggul lava tube information Manjanggul Cave is a natural cave formed approximately 100,000 to 300,000 years ago by lava flowing from Geomun Oreum, one of the small mountains in Jeju, along the surface. It is the core of the Geomun Oreum Lava Cave System, which was designated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 2007. The general exploration section extends about 1 km inward from the Second Entrance. The main passage, measuring 18 meters in width and 23 meters in height, evokes a sense of openness that makes one forget it is an underground space. At the end of the section stands a 7.6-meter-tall lava column, the symbol of this cave. Formed by the lava flowing from the ceiling and solidified lava on the floor coming into contact to form a single column, it is the largest lava column known to date in the world. Manjanggul Lava Cave is approximately 7.4 km long and features a multi-layered structure in some parts. The main tunnel measures 18 meters in width and 23 meters in height, making it one of the largest lava caves in the world. Due to a collapse of the cave ceiling, the entrance is divided into three sections; However, tourists are only allowed to use the second entrance, and entry is permitted only up to a maximum of 1 kilometer. Inside Manjanggul Lava Cave, visitors can observe various cave formations, including stalactites, stalagmites, flowstones, lava flows, lava shelves, and lava rafts. In particular, the lava column located at the edge of the tourist area reaches a height of approximately 7.6 meters and is known as the tallest lava column in the world. When descending the stairs in Manjanggul, you must proceed very carefully, step-by-step, while keeping an eye on your footing. Since the interior is kept dark to preserve its natural state as much as possible, you must always walk cautiously during the cave tour. Additionally, you must be careful as there are small puddles of water at intervals along the 1-kilometer flat path. Water may also drip from the ceiling during heavy rains. Regardless of the temperature above ground, the interior of Manjanggul Lava Cave maintains a temperature of 10–15°C year-round, remaining in its natural state for a long time, unaffected by seasonal changes. It is very cool in the summer, but becomes very cold from autumn onwards, so a winter jacket is essential.

Jeongbang Waterfall
Jeongbang waterfall This waterfall represents Jeju Island. It is the only waterfall in Asia that falls from land into the sea. A place where you can dip your feet in the water. 'Seobulgwacha' was written in Chinese characters on the rock wall of Jeongjeong Waterfall. There is a legend that an envoy from Qin Shi Huang came to Yeongju Mountain (now Mount Halla) in Jeju Island and went around looking for the herb of immortality, inscribed on a rock. Jeongbang Waterfall has a lot of rocks, so you have to walk very carefully under your feet, and the stairs are easy to come down, but very difficult to get around. As the only natural waterfall in Asia that falls into the sea, it creates a more beautiful scenery when there are many photos and rainbows. Jeongbang Falls is one of the top 10 unexplored places in Jeju Island and is a must-see tourist attraction.

4.00All of the stops were very interesting, unlike any other tour we have been on. The reason we did not give this tour five stars is because our guide, who was supposed to be English speaking, had very limited English. We could not ask him questions because he did not understand what we asked. It was very frustrating. When he tried to convey information to us, it was extremely difficult for us to understand him. He was a very nice man, a good driver, and the van was extremely clean. He tried hard, but the language barrier made this a very challenging day.

5.00A really good experience exploring Jeju island. Our guide Mr Kim didn’t have much English but we managed to get around and before reaching a site we listened to the recorded English information. We particularly loved the amazing scenery of the crater mountain and fields we also enjoyed the Village from past times and the Women’s diving experience. The fish market again amazing. Mr Kim was very kind and made sure we got back to port on time and don’t forget to try the delicious mandarins.

5.00This was an extremely interesting tour with Bruce (Hong), whose background knowledge and photographic skills were really impressive. Personal touches, like giving us tangellos from his own tree, and his wizardry with a phone camera, will never be forgotten. We learned a few of his impressive tricks. Autumn colours were just coming out as we drove over the mountains to the Jeongbang waterfall. It is quite unique - we had never seen one plunging directly into the sea, and while Jeju Stone Park is impressive, we had to go on whatever tour the venue was offering at the time, so we did not get to see its beautiful, natural water elements like ponds, streams and water gardens integrated with volcanic rocks. or Sky Pond. That was not Bruce's fault. We just weren't aware that the only way to see any of it was to use the park's transport. I guess that would have required a full day tour to see it. Nevertheless we really enjoyed Bruce's company.

5.00Best way to see highlights of Jeju Island with limited time in port. Mr. Kim was waiting for us in the terminal with a sign with our family name. It was just my husband and I and the car was comfortable and clean. We were able to pick 4 top things we could see from a list he had and then we were off. He spoke basic English but we had no issues communicating via Google translate. Saw the waterfall, crater park, stone garden and then the market. Even had time to shop for some Korean skin care near the market before heading back to the port with time to spare. Definitely recommend!

1.00I selected an English speaking tour & when our guide showed up, he spoke NO English. We couldn't understand anything he said & communicated through Google Translate. Unacceptable. We also were suppose to see several sights & he told us they were too far apart to see, so we only saw half of them with a limited amount of time at the sights. Once home, I asked for some refund & only received 30%. We were really looking forward to this tour & was very disappointed.

5.00This tour really fit our group of 7. We were able to see the sites we were only interested in. Our guide Hyun had limited English but used a translation app and had it connected to the car speaker so everyone was able to hear. We felt he gave us great information and was fun to be with. He was also very attentive and took great photos of our group. Would recommend this tour.

5.00The tour was great. We had our personal driver in a plush cab that took us everywhere. He didn't speak much english, but he was a very nice tour guide. He even took a lot of our pictures at each tour site. Took us to a recommended seafood place that Jeju Island fishermen eat at, the fish was amazing. Totally recommend it!
