5.00Great time, taught us much about Molokai and of Hawaii Sailing Traditions. He made sure to contact us to know the best time of the day to come in for the tide. We also got to see Turtles and a Hawaiian Monk Seal.

5.00Great Outing ! Lohiao is an expert third generation local waterman. We really enjoyed all the historical and cultural information he shared with us along with a super fun sailing experience. Highly recommended !

5.00I loved experiencing this traditional style of sailing surrounded by the natural beauty of Molokai. Lohiao was a fantastic guide! He is an extremely experienced sailor and paddler with deep family connections to the voyaging canoe movement. He was great about explaining the dynamics of padding and knew all about sailing the waters around Molokai. On our sail we saw coral reefs and lots of sea turtles. The water was turquoise and so clear. One of the things I appreciated about this sail was meeting Lohiao's family -- they made my friend and I feel welcome like guests rather than tourists. Mahalo and much respect to the Paoa Family.

5.00We had a blast with Lohiao on his outrigger canoe. We were visiting Molokai for 10 days in January and connected with Lohiao and his mum. This family are a family of outrigger canoe experts. It’s in their DNA. It’s a family thing, going back as far as I know to Lohiao’s grandfathered probably further. Lohiao took my partner and I out in one of his many canoes. It was a beautiful, blustery day on the water in front of his home. We paddled out to not far from the reef and then caught the surf in. We did this several times. Lohiao is a great ambassador for this sport and we will be back next year to do more paddling. Aloha and Mahalo from Linda and Neil
