• Once in a life experience- 8 days home in the HuayHuash with the amazing Waroma Eco tours

  We are a couple 63+59 years old that had a private 8 days HuayHuash trek. Angel was amazing is setting and preparing everything. Michael our guide treated us like a king and a queen. He was knowledgeable, took care of all the small details and an amazing chef. The trek itself is amazing with unique views and wild life. We will remember this experience for our entire life as one of the most unique. Thanks you Angel, Michael and Waroma Eco tours!!!

  If I could give more than 5 stars, I would - I am so glad and happy that I picked Waroma to do 8 days of Huayhuash. Angel answered all of my questions when I spoke to him in the office, and he was a delight to chat with otherwise, has very good English. Michel, my guide, was great, and you can tell he's experienced; beyond knowing exactly where the paths are and pacing well most of the time for the entire group, tips like putting a hot water bottle in the sleeping bag to be warmer at night and wearing plastic bags because shoes got wet truly show experience. He also asked for feedback, and both Angel and Michel continuously try to improve and do what they can for their clients. The distinguishing factor of this tour agency is that it feels personal - Angel seemed to know the names of everyone in my group, and Michel talked to and got to know everyone during the hike. It made the entire trek much more enjoyable, and I had a great time chatting with him, learned a ton about Peruvian life, culture, and history from him which is immensely valuable to me (and he was very patient with my work-in-progress Spanish). Everything was planned very well, and Michel, our chef (Agosto), and donkey driver (Ronald) all worked together splendidly. Once we got to camp every day, tents and sleeping mats would always be set up already and belongings always arrived safely. Equipment kept me warm, we were given blankets to put into the sleeping bag, and sleeping bags were quite spacious. Agosto made sure we had plenty to eat and whenever we would have lunch at camp, lunch would be ready shortly after we arrived. If we had lunch on the road, Agosto prepared food beforehand and carried it to feed us - I was also so surprised when Michel whipped out the thermos so we could have tea in the mountains, wow. We generally had an overabundance of food, and I felt like we were constantly eating: breakfast, then given a snack with fruit / sweet crackers / salty crackers for the road, lunch, tea time which always included a snack too, and dinner with soup and a main dish. We were always asked if we wanted more food during lunch and dinner, and we almost always had extra food leftover. After Huayhuash, I asked Angel for information about other hikes, was always willing to help.   A week ago we've finished the 8 days Huayhuash trek, and I want to recommend with all my heart Waroma eco tours and the guide Michael. It was very well organised - each day when we arrived to the camp site the tents were already prepared for us. Each day we got wonderful meals, and in between we got snacks and tea time. Michael speaks English, and he has a lot of guiding experience. He is very kind and lovely- he gives attention to every person in the group and tries to answer his needs. It's not an easy trek, but it's so beautiful that words can't even describe it. It is also a great adventure, and I was lucky to do it with Michael.

  We went on the Huayhuash trek as a group of 14 friends, and the experience was amazing. The trail is incredibly beautiful, the guides are friendly, speak English, and are genuinely focused on making sure the group has a great and enjoyable trip. The overall organization was excellent — new equipment was ready and set up by the time we finished each day’s hike, a chef prepared hot and delicious meals, and there were always snacks and fruits available.   At the beginning of November, I went hiking in the Huayhuash Range in Peru with three friends. It was one of the best and most challenging hikes of my life. Without the help of the entire Waroma team, I wouldn’t have made it. I’m very grateful to Angel and his brother Michael. I highly recommend Waroma Eco Tours.

  The best agency, it's not the cheaper one because it is the best one, Maximum investment in the trip, the equipment at the highest level, and the best guides, (Ask for Michael...)

  I did the 8 days Huayhuash trek and it was amazing. We all loved our tour guide Micheal and our chef. Angel is very helpful with everything I needed. I am really happy I met them in Huaraz. Highly recommend.

  We did the 5-day Huayhuash and had a terrific time. The trek was well-organized, the food was excellent, the camping gear was good and Maikel and Cilicio were great about separating the group as needed when people wanted to tackle different routes. Be prepared for cold, early mornings and some tough climbs but the scenery is spectacular, truly a bucket list trek.

  I arrived as a solo traveler, much older than the other travelers. I received excellent preparation for the departure. The staff worked great, took care of us and made it easy even when it was cold and hard. Set up and unpacked the tents, distributed hot tea in the morning. The cook Mary prepared satisfying and delicious meals. The guide Emerson, excellent, speaks excellent English, a professional in the mountains, was always attentive to me and made sure I was okay, I felt safe in the mountains thanks to him and thanks to the assistant guide Elmer. Highly recommend

  I can wholeheartedly recommend Waroma Tours. Angel, the Owner, organizes the tours very conscientiously and is at your side with advice and assistance. I booked the 5 day Huayhuash Trek. I was sad not to be able to do the 8 day trek; it was so fantastic. Angel and his team make a very pleasant trek possible, despite the physical effort. The vegetarian food is very varied (tofu, soy protein, lots of vegetables), very delicious and abundant :) I hope to book another tour with this agency soon!
