Unforgettable experience! Our guide, Michael, was a Japanese history teacher and brought all that knowledge to the tour. He took us to some out of the way places that were truly hidden gems. I was nervous about biking but no need. There was nothing too scary and Michael stuck close to me and made sure I was doing okay. So appreciative for this whole experience?

Overall the e bike tour was a fine experience. My critique would be that our tour guide really spent, in my opinion, an excessive amount of time relaying details of Japanese history and story telling that frankly are not aligned with what a tour or this short duration requires. For new visitors to such a beautiful city, he ought to work on being much, much more concise. We spent more time required to sit on a bench/standing around listening to him speak then walking around and exploring the beautiful sites.

My husband and I are 60 and we had a great time, the biking was very doable with the e-bikes and even though there were some fairly steep descents it was not too bad, our guide was dynamic and knowledgeable, took us thru beautiful paths and gems in Kyoto. We ate sweets and drank tea at a place that was 1025 years old along 28 generations! We also visited shrines and temples that were much more secluded and rode safely thru beautiful little streets. We were lucky to see a Maiko (Geisha apprentice) along the way. We would definitely recommend it!

We had an amazing time touring Kyoto on e-bikes! Yuta was an incredibly knowledgeable guide who consistently provided us with fascinating information on the history of Kyoto, Shinto, and Buddhism as we visited the many shrines and temples within the city. Yuta also gave us the perfect restaurant recommendations in the area, so we were all able to enjoy the best bowls of udon we had in the city. This was the highlight of our trip to Kyoto and I can’t recommend it enough! Thank you, Yuta!
