5.00Miguel and Otto were lovely guides. Seeing the widest tree in the world and Hierve el Agua were truly amazing experiences! I would highly recommend taking this tour if it's your first time visiting these places. The only negative is that the tour bus was very small, so it was quite cramped for a lot of us!

5.00An excellent full on day out of Oaxaca! You can tick off all the boxes in one day, plus a lot of local insights from Adriel. It is a long day, around 12 hours but the time flies by as there are lots of different stops, you are never in the van for too long, felt very safe with Oscar driving at all times, Plenty of time to enjoy a hike and swim at the pools. It is a great day out and great value for money!

5.00Abriel was a super pro-guide with a lot of local knowledge about Oaxaca and humor. Oscar, a driver, was also a super nice driver with no problem. The content is great to enjoy most of the highlights around Oaxaca city.

5.00The day was great, and the guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The hike took us a little longer than an hour so we did not have time to swim. The hike was pretty challenging due to the elevation, steps and heat. People were stopped to catch their breath all along the path Really great though! The day was supposed to be 10-11 hrs and we stayed much longer at the mezcal place. So our trip was almost 12.5 hrs. We were beat from a wedding the night before and had to fly the following morning so that wasn't great for us, but most everyone else seemed happy about it! Definitely recommend!

5.00An excellent trip, but be prepared for a fast paced marathon; to fit all of this in just about 12 hours there wasn't a lot of time to wander (either the sites themselves or the vendors and markets). To get the most out of the tour, be ready for some steep hiking at heirve el agua, and some even steeper steps at the ruins. I also really wish I'd thought to bring water shoes for hierve el agua, the pools are lovely but treacherous. Also, note that no sunscreen is allowed in the pools, so don't apply until after this part of the trip if you plan to swim! Finally, while most of our group seemed to really enjoy the entire mezcal tasting at the end, a couple people weren't mezcal fans (or perhaps don't drink) and I have to imagine they were bored to death by the time the rest of us got through what had to have been at least 15 different tastings. Despite those caveats, I'd still absolutely recommend the tour if you're able-bodied enough for the hiking and climbing, willing to power through a long day with a few fast-paced site visits and an extensive mezcal tasting to boot. I had the best tamale of my life from a sweet older lady next to the barber shop by the Tule tree. The weaving demonstration was enjoyable and informative, and the pieces were stunning, so I didn't mind the built-in sales pitch aspect one bit (this also seems to be the standard operating procedure for artisan visits in the area, for what that's worth, which makes sense. Their art is their livelihood, they can't just get by on tour guides paying them for a bunch of tourists to come gawk at them). Hierve el agua was breathtaking, both the waterfall and the pools, I could easily have spent another hour or two there. The lunch buffet was a great way to cross a bunch of Oaxcan dishes off the to-try list, I can't imagine anyone could leave there without having found at least a couple new favorites--personally, I absolutely loved the potato cream soup with chapulines, and just about all of the desserts. Mitla was lovely as well, though again I wish we'd had more time to explore, and the local guide to whom they passed us off for that portion wasn't quite loud enough or clear enough for our entire group to hear very well (he also was given at least two combined tour groups at the same time, and the second group was tacked on about 10 minutes after he'd started with us, so their tour seemed cut even shorter than ours.) The mezcal tasting was a great final stop as well; again, it was a bit of a sales pitch, but that should be expected at something like this anyway, plus the range of mezcals and mezcal creams, and all the information and anecdotes that came along with them, were not only fascinating but most of them were delicious. All in all it was a great day, and I'd absolutely recommend it if you're up for the physical aspects and a nice long tasting at the end of it.

5.00We had a wonderful experience thanks to our guide Kevin. From the first moment it was punctual, friendly and very professional. He explained everything in detail, but in an entertaining way. Besides, he worried that we were all comfortable and enjoying. Also, our driver, Pedro, was excellent, among them 2 made it seem that the transfer was another attraction of the tour, I definitely recommend it 100%
