  Thanks Expotur ❤️ Amazing expierence. Hands down one of the best guided tours we ever made. So well organised. The nature of the whole track is amazing. The routes are challenging but very well set. If you like hiking you will love the track Our guide Gabriel was so kind and passionate about his job. He was energetic kept every motivated. Super knowledgeable and could share so many personal stories and experiences about the lost city. Isidro our translator was just amazing. Easy to talk to, funny, great story telling, and amazing level of English. He was very passionate about the tour and extremely professional. Orlando our chef prepared the best meals. High quality of food (no one of our group had any digestive issues whatsoever), great amount and on point preparation and planning. The many fruit pauses were sooo helpful. Overall the best was how well the worked together. What stood out to me was the passion and friendliness all of the three showed. Not only towards us customers us as customers but to indigenous people, other tours and their guides. This collaboration was just great to see and made the experience so much better. I was on many tours and never saw this before. Again big thanks to Gabriel, Orlando, and Isidro and the whole team of Expotur.

  It was a really cool experience. We had Isidro as translator, who was very friendly and knowledgable. Diego was a great guide. Can highly recommend.

  Great adventures, good guided and well organized! Antonio was an amazing guide, together with Sol and Isabel did translate it well! Nice people.

• 4 day trek at the lost city

  Antonio was a great and dedicated guide. I really enjoyed his sarcastic humour too. Isabel, the translator and Sol the assistant guide were very nice too. The hike is mostly intense cause of the heat, but the trails themselves are managable. The only downside is that the snacks are very light as it is solely fruits. So I would suggest you bring some protein bars or nuts with you. The portions of the meals are also a bit small, and they have just enough for one plate per person. Definately, bring a bit of food with you. Last advice, keep dry clothes for the last day as you can shower once you finish the trek. It will be deeeply appreciated, trust me.

  Incredible ecperience with our guides Antonio and Sol ! We had a great translator Isabela who contributed so much to the vibe of the 14 people we were. Food was good, thanks you Jesus. Overall the expérience is really realy incredible and really worth it. The group was amazing, a lot ot chat, laughs. The city is beautiful, the trek also, the river we swim in yoo... I would recommand to have a smaller bag than i had, have a plastic folded poncho for the rain, around 4 full changes of sports clothes that takes really small place. And some very good grip on the shoes. The bag size, confort and Weight is game changer as we walk 50 km none stop sweating and up and down hill.

  An absolute must. Our guide Jhoan, together with our translator Valentina and our chef Jesus were absolutely outstanding. My husband and I went during our honeymoon and we simply loved it. We went with Expotur and everything was very well organised. Our guide Jhoan, together with our translator captured the history of the place perfectly, setting the scene excellently before stepping foot in the lost city. We got to learn about all the important plants in the area also, as well as the indigenous people. We slept very comfortably as our beds had mosquito nets and our chef, Jesus, cooked us meals that really surpassed all of my expectations of how we would be eating in the jungle. You truly get to immerse yourself in the jungle, seeing incredible jungle landscapes and waterfalls that you will continue to think about for the rest of your life. If you come to Colombia and are able to physically hike for 4 days, you must do this.

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Experience of a lifetime with Expotur

  We chose Expotur for our Lost City trek based on their excellent reputation. We were picked up from our hotel and met the restaurant of our group. Our group was only 5 which was really nice as we all got on well and it was easy to stay together on the long hiking days. Our team from Expotur were fantastic. Sara was an incredibly passionate local guide; Isidro was an amazing translator and pretty much co-guide, and Albeiro was a great chef who provided us with delicious meals every day. The depth of local knowledge and the information Sara and Isidro provided to us was brilliant. We also enjoyed the swimming spots they took us to. We're so happy and fortunate with the great team we had as there were other groups we met who used other companies and their experiences seemed nowhere near as good as ours. On our last day we met a lady who had struggled with the heat and the steep inclines. She ended up coming back to Santa Marta with us but no one told her that she could have continued to the Lost City on a mule - something to bear in mind if you struggle with the hiking.   Dennis, Herbert, Brayan and Jamir took excellent care of us throughout the 4 day trek to the Lost City. Although it was challenging at various points, the gem at the end of the road is really worth the effort. Thanks again and would definitely recommend Expotur, and especially Dennis, Herbert, Brayan and Jamir for this amazing experience!
