Minca is a small village located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta at 700m above sea level, populated by coffee, cocoa and honey producers. Located in one of the richest environments or habitat of Colombia. It has several rivers that run through its territory, full of waterfalls and cold water coming down from the mountains, so we invite you to enjoy unique landscapes in a charming place.

Santa Marta
- We will start the tour from the city of Santa Marta where we will take a road that in 45min will lead us to the town of Minca.
Minca
- Arriving at Minca we will make the presentation of the guide and a brief introduction of what we will do during the tour since the guide that will accompany us will be a local guide of the community. - We will start with a walk along an ecological trail of approximately 2hrs or 2:30hrs, during which we will be able to visit waterfalls, pools and natural landscapes. - We will arrive at a coffee farm where we will learn about the coffee process and its main aspects. - We will finish our walk when we arrive at a house made 100% in bamboo where we will have a gourmet lunch. - Afterward, the guide will give an explanatory talk about cocoa, its process, and its derivatives. - We finish our tour with a return to the town of Minca where we will board our vehicle to return to the city of Santa Marta where we will arrive between 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm.

4.00Hotel pickup was on time, we had a day with quite a lot of experience who spoke in Spanish and English, the tour in the mine, knowledge of coffee and cocoa was a beautiful experience, so I highly recommend it.

5.00I had a great time. It was very educational and perfect day to spend time in the mountains. It is important to eat a good breakfast and bring at least 3L of water. The tour guide stopped every few minutes and keep the group in the same pace. We got some samples to take home of artisinal coffee and chocolate. The view and lunch were delicious.

5.00I had a wonderful travel experience. Everything was coordinated well from pick up and drop off in santa marta. Lunch was excellent. The tour guides were very informative and entertaining. You are able to buy small samples of artisan coffee and the original coffee beans here. I was with a group and everyone was friendly and helpful. Its important to bring hiking shoes and at least 3 litres of water due to the terrain and humidity to last you the 8 hours.

5.00Martin is an excellent guide! He knows a lot about nature and can effortlessly switch from Spanish to English. He has guided us along roads where no tourists go and is quite beautiful and unspoilt. I definitely recommend it. Niv of the hike is average.

5.00The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly Beautiful scenery, excellent presentation on the process for growing and making coffee. The only suggestion that I have is to provide a rating of the level of hike with inclines and stepping on the rocks.

3.00This tour is only for people in very good physical condition without respiratory or cardiac issues. The hike is moderately strenuous. And at times steep, narrow terrain in covered in roots and rocks. I expected our hiking guide to be more knowledgeable. He calls himself a biologist but often his information was incorrect. The coffee farm was a disappointment because it is a small, rudimentary, family operation in the middle of the jungle. Coffee plants are sporadically mixed in on the jungle floor. The farm is so small that it only produces enough coffee to serve and sell to the farm visitors. The biodiversity lecture is excellent. The sustainability and chocolate making lectures are only good at best. Total tour length was 8.5 hours from hotel pick up to drop off

5.00We had a great tour. Fun walking, great information about the eco system. The organic coffee farm & eco lodge were hidden gems I wouldn’t have known about if I visited Minca on my own.
