Every Latvian believes there is great power in nature, so we invite you to go for a hike/bushwalking in Gauja national park in Sigulda county! Sigulda is well known for medieval castles, hilly area, thick forests, caves and of course many options for extreme activities, such as bobsleigh, bungee jumping, zipline over the river etc. We will guide you through forests and bushes for a tiring yet very beautiful hike, in the meantime, you do have a chance to do one or more activities or visit the castles (at your own cost) in the area before we're heading back to Riga! Our standard route is about 12km long and it will take around 4 hours to complete, including time for a lunch break (picnic). Of course, the duration depends on how slow or fast you wish to go and how long time you will spend taking photos etc. From our side - there is no rush as we want you to enjoy the day out of the city!

Super great experience hiking in Sigulda. There will be some stairs to climb, but the guide ensured a great pace and as many breaks as needed. Our guide was super pleasant and we had a lovely day. Remember insect repellent - there was a ton of mosquitoes in the forest.

This is a really beautiful hike and can be customized based on what activities you would like to do. It does involve some climbing stairs but is such a beautiful part of Latvia. Janis told us a lot about the country and the area as well as educating is about the natural parts of the forest. It is definitely worth getting out of Riga and seeing some of the natural beauty. The communication was great and the transport was easy and Janis customized the trip based on what we were interested in along the way. We also did the cable car to get a great view.

We had a great trip to Gauja NP with Yanis. He tailored the walk to our requirements and showed us all the great areas. Booking with Krista was easy and she responded very quickly, which is always great.

We enjoyed a really nice morning hiking in Gauja National Park with Janis as our guide. The landscape was beautiful and it was the perfect level of exertion. There are A LOT of stairs to climb but that made it a nice challenge. We rode a gondola back across which gave us a great view. Janis was very knowledgeable about Riga and the park area and he shared many stories about everyday life that were interesting and entertaining. We ended the hike with a stroll through the very scenic town of Sigulda. Highly recommend him as a guide!

Amazing tour with comfortable car to transfer between stops. We have amazing guide Krista who are knowledgeable on every aspects of Latvia. Through her tour, we know more Latvia from animals and plants to social culture in this beautiful country. The tour provide individualised experience according to our interest and pace. The trip is well organised and I highly recommend this tour.

Krista made our day. No only did she suggest the location but she also planned the tour considering our needs of all kinds such as food breaks, restroom breaks, alternative routes taking into account weather conditions, and our time frame. Definitely worth a strong recommendation!! Krista‘s personality is also worth mentioning: having her as a guide feels like walking with a friend. Thanks so much for this fantastic day.
