Step back into the Arizona Wild West with this Historic Gold Mine Jeep Adventure. With adrenaline pumping, you enter mine to follow same vein of Gold that prospector “Old Rackensack” chased in 1880. Our Hard-Rock mine allows guests to Safely experience Old-Timers painstaking methods for extracting the elusive precious mineral that had such a profound impact on Arizona’s History.
In-route to the Mine, you will explore the Upper Sonoran Desert’s rugged landscape with Flora & Fauna photo stops plus educational narration about Rackensack Canyon’s Archaeological Indian Ruins. After an exhilarating mountainside ride to Summit Studio/Giftshop, you will enjoy complimentary refreshments before heading to mine.
Sit back and enjoy the ride with Certified Off-road Desert Guide in our Custom Jeep Gladiator that is weatherized for "Rain or Shine" Tours and exclusively designed for safety, comfort plus maximum visibility of spectacular vistas.

Designated Departure location for our tours is in Carefree, Arizona Town Center on the East side of their World Famous Sundial. Come early and stay late to enjoy the small town hospitality of this beautiful community with excellent restaurants and unique shops in abundance.
Tonto National Forest
Our private Road Easement in Tonto National Forest is connected to North Scottsdale/Carefree, Arizona. The trailhead is located 15 minutes northeast of our pickup location from the Sundial in Carefree.

5.00Wonderful experience. Our guide “Rebel” was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She made us want to learn even more about the gold mine and its’ history. Scenery was spectacular. Charles and Ginger were so warm and friendly. The experience was a joy! Would highly recommend taking this adventure tour.

5.00I went on the Rackensack Mine tour yesterday and had an amazing time. The jeep ride up the mountain (4,500 feet!) was an adventure on its own, with some great views and a bit of a thrill. Once we got to the mine, we got to explore inside and see some really beautiful rose quartz veins. We also met the owners, Charles and Ginger, who were so friendly and welcoming; it’s clear they really care about what they do. Our guide, Dave, was awesome. Super laid-back, funny, and really knew his stuff. He made the whole tour fun and interesting, and he was a great driver too, he got us safely up and down that mountain with no problem. If you're looking for something different and fun to do around Carefree, I’d definitely recommend this tour!

5.00A great tour, full wonderful history about this area of Arizona. "Reb" our driver was really special with a vast knowledge of the plants and animals seen during the tour, plus a great sense of humor as she described the mine and artifacts.

5.00Fabulous experience. A ‘must’ to include on your Cave Creek adventure. Rebel is an expert jeep adventure driver and information guide. The owners welcome you into their private home which is a marvel in itself. This event is worth every penny. For us, it didn’t last quite long enough. So much to see!

5.00About 15 of us went on a team building outing to ride Jeeps, take in views, and enjoy an adventure. Our drivers and hosts kept us safe and entertained on a beautiful day while we enjoyed the views, did a little gift shopping, and ventured into the mine.

5.00What a fun time we had on the Gold Mine Jeep Adventure. Our guide was friendly and very informative as we jeeped to the top of the mountain to see the old gold mines. The views were stunning and it was a truly unique experience.
