Historic Pubs of Berlin & Berlin Beer Tour

Historic Beer and History tour of Berlin, taking around 4 hours. Guests will be led through some of the oldest and most historic parts of the city, starting from the 13th century mediaeval city right up until the fall of the Berlin wall and German reunification. Along the way, guests will get to sample some local beers in historic locations while learning about the development and history of the oldest part of the city.

Our tour guide created a great tour and vibe for our group. Our group consisted of people from Ireland, Scotland, Denmark, and the United States. Right from the start, we were all mingling and it felt like we had known each other for years. We soaked up Berlins rich history while exploring German beer. I cannot suggest this tour enough!

The ‘Historic Pubs of Berlin & Berlin Beer Tour’ (Viator name) was a great opportunity to stroll some of Berlin city with our tour guide Darren. At 125GBP for a couple, we felt that the tour offered good value with five drinks on offer. Darren demonstrated a real passion for history, sharing insights from Germany’s past and present. This is a cultural tour with some nice local pubs (and the obligatory stop at a local spätkauf to pick up a walking beer too), rather than a beer tour. For those who want to learn more about beer, the Berlin Craft Beer & Cultural Tour With Snack (we were guided by Alex) would complement this tour well.

Great tour that features cool local spots, delicious beers and just a bit of city history. This was a good way to be introduced to Berlin! Our guide, Cairan, was friendly, funny & engaging.

My husband and I did four different walking tours on a trip to Germany and Poland, and this one was our favorite! Darren was a very entertaining guide, sharing the perfect amount of history while bouncing between four different pubs or spots to sample a local brew. Highly recommend for beer and history lovers!

We booked this tour which already had great reviews and it did not disappoint right from the off! Darren was our tour guide and not only did he speak great English his knowledge of Berlin was textbook, such a lovely guy brought everyone in our group together. He also took us to some great bars sampled some great beers and laughed all the way round. When the tour had finished we loved the route and bars so much we went around again.. Brilliant!! If you do one thing in Berlin do this tour, you can thank me later!! 5 🌟

This is an awesome tour. Drinking and learning about history are perfect bedfellows. My tour guide was wonderful. It ended up just being me and him which was perfect. The tour was more like hanging out with a friend in cool bars talking about the complicated history of Berlin. I learned a lot of fun facts. I would highly recommend this tour.

Darren was a brilliant guide. Really knowledgable, entertaining and very humourous. A fabulous afternoon, thoroughly enjoyed and much more than just a pub crawl! Highly recommended.
