Get ready for some fun and learning! Our historian and guide will begin with exploration of the North beach and Savannah river as it was used by the indigenous of the Island 600 years ago. The tour offers stories and lore to recall the charms and whimsy of the island as she passed through indigenous, pirates, early English settlers, and now into modern days. The often overlooked North End Tybee holds a rich history about the settlers as well as military with the historical value and tales of Fort Screven. Jacqueline (sp?) has an amazing background and passion for history. This is evident from her deep knowledge of the area's history and historical perspective. Presented in a series of stories making the events alive and interesting. She probably could go on longer than the 90 min. with her deep wealth of facts. Lively delivery makes me want more. It was over too soon. I want to go back again. Everyone should take the tour!

The guide was very informative about Tybee Island, we learned all about the history, the buildings, the beach, the size, military history, famous locals, & visitors! Overall it was very interesting and slow paced, didn’t feel rushed to finish! I would definitely recommend this tour!

This was a great experience. My family had a wonderful time. We learned so much about Tybee Island and the history. The houses and the barracks were so beautiful, and seeing the architecture of the buildings still standing was incredible. I love that the island uses what has been there and doesn’t change it (much). The theatre is absolutely beautiful and the story behind it makes it more magical. We can’t wait to come back to Tybee to go climb the Lighthouse and see the fortress. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

You are not rushed. The tour lasted nearly 2 hours. You can stay on the cart, or get off and stretch your legs when stopped. The guide has a wealth of historical knowledge, as well as interesting, but maybe not all true, tales of the past. She answers all questions and will even take group pictures for you. She truly loves Tybee Island and it shows! Great value! Great tour!

This was my favorite tour we did while visiting Savannah. We learned so much about Tybee and the people. Our guide Jac was so much fun. Definitely a must do!
