  John was our tour guide on our recent trip to Hoi An. He provided us with delicious Vietnamese food to sample snd lots of local information. He speaks very good English, he’s engaging and has a great personality. He is happy to “go with the flow” and suit the day to your needs.

  John was a fantastic host and we loved seeing Hoi Ann through the back streets and locals restaurants. We tried all kinds of Vietnamese treats and two of us are gluten free and he made sure everything we ate was safe for us. Highly recommend for a different way to experience the food of Hoi an away from from tourist route.

  I would give John, John Lee Tours a score of 10! Since system only allows for 5, John gets a sold 5 stars!!!!! I chose the private Vespa foodie tour in Hoi An for two of us and John not only delivered the perfect experience, but allowed me to add on a river cruise as well. His flexibility and desire to give us the best possible experience was clear from the start. From the start of our correspondence John was professional and personable. Upon he and his brother Strong picking us up at our hotel there was no doubt I chose the best tour guide! John immediately gave us a good feeling about the evening tour and getting on a Vespa for the first time in Hoi An, John and Strong made us feel safe and comfortable. John took us to a number of great tastings, some out of the way and others near the main areas, providing a great experience all around. If we were to be here longer I would take one of John’s tours outside of town as well. And when we come back I’ll be in touch with John for sure!

  We first booked a private nighttime food tour to get a real taste of Hoi An’s authentic street food scene, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of our trip. From the start, John was incredibly easy to communicate with, always available on WhatsApp, quick to answer any questions, and just genuinely pleasant to deal with. The tour itself was beyond our expectations. John took us to local spots that don’t even show up on Google Maps; true hidden gems! Every dish was spot on, from Bánh bèo Bà Bảy to white rose dumplings, each bite telling its own story. (Check out the food pictures, they speak for themselves!) John also went above and beyond by organising a private day trip to Marble Mountain, where he generously added stops at the vegetable village, a silk factory, and even arranged a lovely local lunch. His generosity, flexibility, and deep local knowledge made our day memorable. He’s fun, easygoing, professional, and knows exactly how to tailor the experience to what you’re looking for.   It is hard to describe how amazing this street food tour was. John and Mr Nine took amazing care of us while we were on the back of the Vespa's. Not once did I feel scared or uneasy. The food places we visited, and the food they served us was top notch and we did not go hungry. John's knowledge and history of the places set the bar to another level. When we visit Hoi An again, we will definitely be doing this tour again.
