Horseback riding along secluded beaches and crystal blue waters in the Caribbean is everyone's dream. Explore native wildlife in both tropical and almond forests. Whale watch December through April. Your tour allows you to experience the real Puerto Rico on a Paso Fino horse, the way it was meant to be seen.

The morning ride at 9 am is a perfect way to start your day. Or if you prefer, you can see the best sunsets on the 3:30 pm tour (depending on the time of year.) Each tour lasts approximately 2 hours, and you will ride on one of 30 healthy, happy horses that are well cared for, very gentle, and spirited. Start your tour with a nice ride along the beach. A nearby almond tree forest also makes a great horseback riding trail ride. There is definitely enough variety in the landscape and terrain to challenge the more advanced riders, but beginner and intermediate horseback riders also have the same chance to enjoy this spectacular trail ride. At the end of the beach, you'll pause to let the horses and guests rest. During this time, your guide will take some photos for you at an exquisite beach. Or, if you’d rather take a more relaxed approach to the break, you can either go for a refreshing swim or rest in the beautiful white sandy beaches.
Shacks Beach
Shacks Beach- Located in front of Tropical Trail Rides and is the first beach our guests see on our horse ride. It is also amazing for snorkeling, diving, and surfing.

5.00My husband and I booked a private ride with Tropical Trail Rides earlier this week. It was definitely one of the highlights of our week in Puerto Rico. We are both novice riders so I was a little nervous, but once we got through the instructions and got started, it was so much fun! Our guide Stacy was very good. She was very patient with us, being that we were beginners. She got us trotting which I never thought I would do. My horse Harmony was really calm and knew exactly what to do and where to go. I had to give her minimal directions with the reins. The scenery was BEAUTIFUL! I have always wanted to horseback ride on the beach so this was a bucket list item for me. Riding through the almond forest was also very pretty. We took a break on the beach about halfway through our ride so we could take photos (you can’t do that while you’re riding). Stacy took some photos of us with my husband’s phone (make sure you bring your phone for photos. I put mine in a fanny pack so it was easy to carry). I highly recommend Tropical Trail Rides for all experience levels!

5.00We have been here every year for the last 5 years and my kids love it. The girls here are amazing so much fun. We add on more people every time we go. We had 12 people and the accommodation we great.

5.00I'm not one to usually write reviews but I believe this experience really deserves one. We went last weekend horseback riding, we are from the island so we had a few options to decide. Honestly since I saw a video from a promotion I was already convinced and the experience definitely toped my expectations. From the moment you arrive there is a serene and calm vibe, they ask questions and assign you the horse you'll be riding. I got Stella (my friends got Canela, Bailey and Sambuca). I was a little nervous but one the ride began all I felt was pure joy and excitement. We went to celebrate a friend's birthday and she was delighted. the guide was super fun and attentive to detail and the owners came after our ride to ask how it was. Definitely the attention they give was 10/10, the ride from San Juan was definitely worth it. You can tell the love they give the horses and they are very well kept, healthy, cared and so clean!! Once again, the experience was truly exhilarating and magical. We are already planning on coming back. This is a place/experience I will recommend forever and they'll probably see me and my friends coming back soon. Thank you!

5.00Worth every penny! The staff were super friendly. They explained everything well. Albert was great, he would stop every now and then to give a little history of the area. He's also a great photographer lol. We stopped somewhere with an AMAZING view and he took really good pictures of us. We loved every second of it.
