Horseback riding along secluded beaches and crystal blue waters in the Caribbean is everyone's dream. Explore native wildlife in both tropical and almond forests. Whale watch December through April. Your tour allows you to experience the real Puerto Rico on a Paso Fino horse, the way it was meant to be seen.

The morning ride at 9 am is a perfect way to start your day. Or if you prefer, you can see the best sunsets on the 3:30 pm tour (depending on the time of year.) Each tour lasts approximately 2 hours, and you will ride on one of 30 healthy, happy horses that are well cared for, very gentle, and spirited. Start your tour with a nice ride along the beach. A nearby almond tree forest also makes a great horseback riding trail ride. There is definitely enough variety in the landscape and terrain to challenge the more advanced riders, but beginner and intermediate horseback riders also have the same chance to enjoy this spectacular trail ride. At the end of the beach, you'll pause to let the horses and guests rest. During this time, your guide will take some photos for you at an exquisite beach. Or, if you’d rather take a more relaxed approach to the break, you can either go for a refreshing swim or rest in the beautiful white sandy beaches.
Shacks Beach
Shacks Beach- Located in front of Tropical Trail Rides and is the first beach our guests see on our horse ride. It is also amazing for snorkeling, diving, and surfing.

5.00From the time of booking with Kiara, to the end of our tour, we had an amazing experience. I had to change my booking several times and Kiara was super understanding and helpful. She offered options and made every effort to help me with my booking! Once there, the interaction with everyone, including the beautiful horses, was very pleasant. Everything from checking in to preparation was smooth. Our tour guide Alicia was amazing! She kept the tour fun and made sure we knew how to handle our horses. I would definitely recommend Tropical Trail Rides!

5.00This was my fourth or fifth time riding with Tropical Trail Rides. Each time the rides have been wonderful. The horses are friendly, well cared-for, and healthy, all things that are important to me. The guide slowed down or sped up depending on the comfort and the experience of the riders. She was extremely knowledgeable about horses, riders, and the flora and fauna of the area. She took pictures of the riders. The beach, the almond forest, the trails were all beautiful. The ride was not rushed. I highly recommend Tropical Trail Rides and hope to be back soon to ride there again.

5.00It was an amazing experience. Always wanted to horseback ride on a beach and this was beautiful. Al our guide was great and all the staff was wonderful!! Plan to come back in November with my husband!!

5.00Even first-time riders shouldn’t hesitate at all. The staff was very attentive and helpful, and I felt safe throughout. Horseback riding was both relaxing and really fun. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to spend quality time surrounded by nature. I really loved it—it was much better than I expected!

5.00My family and I did a morning trip and it was an amazing experience. The horses are clearly extremely well cared for and the owner and our guide Joe were excellent in making sure everyone was safe, had a well matched horse, and the horses were treated properly by the riders. The beach you get to ride on is unbelievable and the almond forest was beautiful. Absolutely don’t miss this experience if you are staying on the west coast.

5.00This was my first time riding a horse, I was a bit scared through the whole experience hoping I wouldn’t fall off the horse, but thankfully I didn’t, be prepared to not only go slow with horses but to also go a little faster throughout some of the trails, something I wasn’t prepared for but overall my horse was a gem ,her name was Stella, and our tour guide was great! She would make sounds and horses would follow, pretty amazing! We rode from Isla verde to aguadilla and rode through a Beach called survival beach, we took beautiful pictures by the water, and was able to rest for a bit until we needed to go back. It was a beautiful experience and I would definitely recommend everyone to try it at least once. Thank you for this great experience!

5.00This was always a dream of mine to do with my husband, and I was nervous about falling off since It was my first time and inexperienced but I have to say that it was a beautiful experience, going through the trails and seeing nature was a gem, strolling through the trails were magical, our tour guide would make sounds for them to move faster through the trails and I held on to dear life because again I was afraid of falling, but overall was a great experience. We even stopped at a beach and took beautiful pictures. Our tour guide was amazing and I got lucky with such a beautiful calming horse named Stella for my first time Thank you
