Up ahead is the Valley of the Five Lakes Trailhead. The 3-mile moderately challenging hike takes about an hour and a half to complete and rewards hikers with some amazing scenery. The trail weaves past five pristine lakes. The lakes and ponds in Jasper and Banff are unlike those found anywhere else. That’s because of their unbelievable turquoise and blue hues that seem like something out of a heavily photoshopped postcard. But it’s real! And we have glaciers to thank.

Coming up soon is the Jasper SkyTram, the highest and longest aerial tramway in Canada. The views from the top are simply unbeatable. In the 1940s, Whistler Mountain had already become a major magnet for skiers. Fans of the winter sport congregated on the perfect slopes every year to race each other down. But once at the bottom, they only had a limp tow rope to usher them up the mountain again. Because of the difficulty of the ascent, they never went all the way up the mountain!

The principle is excellent and very precise compared to the journey. It allowed us to see unplanned sites. Beware the tourist sites close after Thanks giving in the national parks of northern British Columbia.

The audio tour was very interesting, we learned about the history and geography of the area. The pace and tone of the speaker was perfect. It made the drive much more interesting! Highly recommend!

If you are driving independently, this is really worth having. Easy to download and gave commentary on all the sights along the way.

Even though this tour was downloaded from home where we had wi-fi, we could not play it easily the first time we were trying to use it. The next day, we were able to use it and you can set any view point as your starting point in this tour. And it gives you good information about all the lakes and waterfalls and makes sure you don't miss it. What I had done as a backup was also, printed out the entire tour itinerary and took it in the folder with us (studied it) so we can figure out where we want to stop and what we want to skip. But all in all, a good self-guided tour if you can use it properly

This was an informative tour and we liked that it was linked to the GPS giving tips and pointers to the scenery around us on the drive. There were many points that we would have missed without this tour. This was a thoroughly enjoyable companion to our drive and would recommend it to anyone doing the same. The only slightly negative feedback I have, please get the pronunciation of some of your words correct. Look up how to pronounce conscientious objector! Also the Maligne changed from Mah lig nee to Mah line (the correct pronunciation I believe) halfway through the guide.

We really liked the flexibility. We were able to travel at our own pace. The app knew where we were, so we could stop and start whenever we wanted to. The parks are spectacular and the narrated trip along the Icefields Pkwy was a great way to get a "taste." Especially good for senior citizens!

It was worth it . Getting to ride the 6 wheel drive bus onto the glacier was a once in a lifetime experience and highly recommended. The sky walk was cool for thoae not afraid of heights
