Our tour with Joao was fun and informative. It was obvious that he knows the history of Amarante but he also sprinkled in fun and interesting tidbits. It was easy to get caught up with his enthusiasm for Amarante. Joao answered all of our questions including showing us how to get to places using a map app on his phone.

João Pedro is a true historian. Man of the earth , with much love for her and very knowledgeable . Always friendly, and available was a pleasant surprise.

We had an amazing tour with Joao! Although it rained pretty much all day, we were still able to visit 2 wineries of his choice, ate at a local restaurant in Amarante, and tasted some local pastries. Joao was very personable and easy to talk to. He is very knowledgeable of the area and the Vinho Verde region. You can customize your tour, as we did. Thank Joao for an unforgettable experience!

This Guided Vidita is worth it. It costs what it's worth and falls short. Joao loves and lives what explains his Amarante city and what surrounds it. He's a great pro. I would definitely recommend it. Make that Tour of Amarante and Enjoy.

João picked us up at the meeting point on time and guided us through the cathedral, monasteries and old town with great expertise and very interesting explanations. This tour is highly recommended to anyone interested in the history of Portugal in general and Amarante in particular.

My friend and I had a 1.5hr walking tour in the city centre with João, and it was absolutely fantastic. We have so much more of an appreciation for the beautiful town of Amarante thanks to João's expertise and pure interest in the history of his city. We learned a lot and had a great time. Looking forward to returning for the Jeep tour or a hike soon. Thank you João for your great tour and for your genuine willingness to ensure we had a great time in Amarante!

We just returned from a tour with owner/guide Joao - excellent experience. We were able to arrange a pick up in Gaia and right from the beginning Joao was professional, engaging and full of information. His enthusiasm for history and Amarante made this one of the best guided tours we have experienced. Amarante is definitely a “hidden” gem of Portugal. Beautiful, relaxing yet full of history. No doubt Inside Experiences would dedicate the same level of service and professionalism to their other tours. Would book with them again in a minute if we had more time. Thank you very much!
Three days of fun adventures with João

We met João through our AirBnb Host after we mentioned we might like to do a local vineyard. We ended up with so much more than what we asked for. João knocked on our villa door, we asked him in and he professionally explained his services. We began with a one hour tour of Amarante which turned into a two hour tour as we easily became friends. Later we booked him for a boat ride, lunch and wine tasting in Pinhão. Joãn arrived right on time and took care of everything.. from gorgeous views to our lunch at a local cafe where tourists are absent from view. And the food was fabulous. After a full day of the boat ride, lunch and Sandeman Winery tour and tasting, we ended the day at a family run vineyard in Amarante to stomp the grapes. And yes, we did. Each adventure was better the the last. Could it be more fun? With two good days under our belts, we opted for a third with João taking us to Porto for the day. And we were again not disappointed. He showed us all the highlights of the city, had drinks on . the 14th floor of Lift and could not have been more delighted.

Top guided experience I Spent three intense very well planned days with Inside Experience founders and guides Joāo and Liliana. We were so well taken care of and the schedule planned allowed us to se and experience a lot of this beautiful region. Their love to their own home region shined through, culture, history, gastronomy and wine/ Porto tasting combined made this trip exceptional.
