We start our adventure from the Waterfront Princess promenade. Enjoy the views of the San Juan Bay (Spanish: Bahía de San Juan) is the bay and main inlet adjacent to Old San Juan. It is about 3.5 miles (5.6 km) in length, the largest body of water in an estuary of about 97 square miles (250 km2)[ of channels, inlets and eight interconnected lagoons. The San Juan Bay is home to the island's busiest harbor. Across the bay you"ll see the magnificent El Yunque; Bacardi distillery; el Canuelo Fort and the Isla de la Cabra- former leprecy colony.
Paseo de la Princesa
El Paseo de La Princesa, the most beloved promenade in Puerto Rico, dates back to 1853. This beautifully restored walk is a favorite place for locals day and night and welcomes millions of visitors from all over the world. It was built in 1853 to allow Victorian-era residents to take their constitutionals along the water. An ancient La Princesa jail built outside the city walls, with original cells carefully preserved. We were so incredibly thankful for our very personal guide. Her wealth of knowledge and attention to detail was second to none. We have been on many tours around the world, and this one was one of the most informative and educational, yet conversational and customized to our questions. Our guide gave us an incredible overview of the history of Puerto Rico and old San Juan. I would highly recommend this tour guide for all of her tour offerings. We were disapointed to learn she was completely booked for her rainforest tours the week we were staying in Puerto Rico. However, I would consider coming back just to participate in her other tours. We deeply thank you for painting such a clear picture of Puerto Rico and Old San Juan, the people, the culture, and the rest of the history time allowed you to share.

My husband and I had such a great time on this tour! Natalia was so knowledgeable and energetic and was a wonderful guide. We’ve been to Puerto Rico several times now and have even done other tours in Old San Juan in the past and still learned so many new things about the culture and history of the island and the city. Was such a nice way to begin our day in Old San Juan. We ended the tour with gelato and coffee, would highly recommend!

The tour with Maria was excellent! It consisted of a walking tour of specific landmarks and her sharing her vast knowledge of Puerto Rican history, culture and politics. Lastly a tip: Google Maps walking directions had me at the wrong meet place, I so am grateful she waited for me! If you’re walking from another point in old San Juan, another landmark next to the meetup restaurant is the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. You don’t want to miss this tour!

Professor Nat met us at our meeting spot and was ready to adjust based on weather and closures due to a holiday. We appreciated her flexibility. She knows so much about Puerto Rico history and culture! She took great photos for us and was attentive to both our children (age 13 and 17). Highly recommend her for your tour!

Professor Nat is very knowledgeable and provided a great experience. She was quite accommodating to our interests & needs. We were amazed at her knowledge of all the local plants. She took us to a newer coffee shop, which was quite good as they grow, roast & sell their own coffee beans.

We got a recommendation to book a tour of Old San Juan with Professor Natalia from a friend and we are so glad we did. She is extremely knowledgeable about Old San Juan and clearly loves Puerto Rico and sharing her expertise with her clients. This was a somewhat unusual tour, as the San Sebastien Festival was just getting underway and many streets were closed. Despite the challenges, Prof Nat still organized an awesome tour that we will always remember.

We had a great time on this adventure, and Natalia was so well versed in everything about Puerto Rico! We did this the day after we arrived, and it gave us a foundation on San Juan and Puerto Rico. I strongly suggest this for anyone who wants to know more about where they are!

Professor Nat really knows her stuff! We had a great tour around Old San Juan. We learned so much of the history and the present day with her. Not your typical history tour. This tour also included a stop for authentic Puerto Rican coffee and time to create a souvenir to take home! We would recommend this tour to anyone wanting a twist on a regular walking history tour.
