The Melting Point is a new, state-of-the-art facility featuring a fine art gallery, a lamp working studio and fully equipped hotshop. We eat, sleep, and breath glass, and it's our delight to share this passion with the community. Our staff is as diverse as the beautiful Sedona desert landscape. Coming from a broad range of educational backgrounds, our glassblowers can tell you everything you would ever want to know about the science and art of glass.

This introduction to glassblowing workshop is perfect for glass enthusiasts young and old. With the guidance of our on-site artists, we'll give you the tools necessary to make your own one-of-a-kind glass flower. You pick your colors and the style, and we're here to make sure you succeed. It is important to note that all glass products must anneal overnight. Pickup arrangements of guests' projects should be made for the following day. Shipping options are available at an additional cost.

This was a great idea for our trip to Arizona, souvenirs that you actually play a part in making are some of the best. The memory and story behind one of these pieces of art you make yourself is amazing, and actually being apart of the work behind glass making really let's you appreciate the art more.

If you are going to be in Sedona or surrounding area and would like to experience a fun activity, check The Melting Point website and sign up for a bead making, glassblowing or stained glass class. I have taken both a bead making and glassblowing class and both were amazingly fun.

This is a must do to get momentos of your time in Sedona. You will bring home something you made and that together with the beautiful red rock mountains and other activities complete the picture.

I did the workshop to make a tumbler. It just so happened that I was the only person booked in my time slot, so I had a one-on-one session. I chose my colors from a selection of about 8-10 options. The workshop was very comfortable, despite having two 2000°F+ furnaces. The glass artist did a good job of explaining each step of the process, instructing me on what to do, and keeping me safe. My finished tumbler is truly one of a kind, beautiful, and functional. If I were to be a stickler for truth in advertising, I would say that I shaped my own piece; the artist did all of the actual glassblowing. Regardless, it was a fun experience, and I am proud of my lovely tumbler.

This glassblowing experience was the best thing we did in Sedona! Austin was a great instructor who made this very cool activity fun and safe while letting us feel like accomplished artists. Three of us made beautiful, large glass flowers, while one paid a small upcharge to make a bowl. All pieces turned out beautifully! Book early because this is a popular experience and now we know why!
