Guests who hunger to learn about Khmer cuisine can enroll in our half or full-day cooking class. Start the morning by exploring a local market where you will experience the hustle and bustle and absorb the flavor of a typical Cambodian market. You will have time to walk around, take pictures and observe vendors selling their wares. You will learn about local fruits, vegetables, and herbs and procure the freshest ingredients you need for the day's lesson.
Returning to our kitchen, our experienced chef will guide you through tried-and-true Khmer cooking techniques. Unlock ancient secrets of Khmer cooking through this authentic culinary experience. After the demonstration and with our chef's assistance, you will discover new tastes and textures as you learn to prepare traditional dishes, which will be enjoyed for lunch. The recipes are yours to keep so you can recreate the Cambodian culinary experience in the comfort of your own home and impress your friends and family.

*** Full Day Course 09:00am: Guest will meet at Banana Cooking Class and proceeding by Tuk Tuk to the local market where guest will be told and shown of Cambodian fruits, vegetables, and spices. 10:00am: Time to take a tuk-tuk ride back to Banana Cooking Class. 10:15am: After arrival, guest will get a refreshing drink and cold towel and recipe. 10:30am: Theory Class. Here our chef will present a cookery demonstration of the dishes that you are going to prepare 11:00am: Time to put your hands on the cooking utensils. Each student has his/her own cooking station and wok. Assisted by our chef, you will learn and experience the culinary technique of Cambodian cuisine. 12:00pm: Lunch. Now you can taste and enjoy your own culinary creation. 03:30pm: Time to put your hands on the cooking utensils again. In the afternoon we teach you how to make dishes that take some more time to prepare. 04:30pm: Time to taste and enjoy your own culinary creation and relax. 05:00pm: Certificate given and photo cession. End of class.

5.00A wonderful course in a very appealing Mood - with shopping list and market visit with support and sufficient explanation by the chef🫠Good after-cooking dishes, delicious and also safe to cook at home. Diligent helpers prepare everything well and help with clearing and cleaning, so that you can fully focus on the course. I enjoyed the course day, the unknown spices and ingredients and the dishes very much-it was perfect!!! Thank you. I highly recommend it!

5.00Today I treated myself to a cooking class with Lom Ang. She is not only an excellent cook, she can also show you how to do it very well. First she took us to the market to buy the ingredients. That alone was a very nice experience. But it was also very informative because you could ask anything. After all, the selection of fruit and vegetables is much larger than in Europe. When we got back, we started cooking under supervision. Everything is explained excellently, so that even if you are not a very experienced cook you can manage everything. You can eat your own work. I have to say I was proud of my work! There is another pleasant aspect. The whole thing takes place in a very nice atmosphere with air conditioning, so you don't have to sweat.

5.00Very good and interactive experience started off with food shopping at a nearby market with one of the chefs. Throughout the cooking class the chef was very informative and also made sure that all of us are understanding her. One of the best experiences while in Phnom Penh. 5/5 😃

5.00Wonderful cooking class. Went to the market first, then very thorough and hands on instruction. We asked for some changes in the menu and they were flexible, quickly coming up with delicious alternatives. Chef Lon ang was friendly, knowledgeable and clear. Helpful with good English. Everything we made was classic Khmer and so so good.

5.00They start by putting a shopping list in our hands and forward with the instructor to go buy the necessary at the local market! It’s very funny. I was super proud of what I did, and we bring the recipes home! Great experience!

5.00We were able to buy all the ingredients at the market in the morning, very rewarding experience, then everything cooked from A to Z. The dishes obtained were traditional and very good! The cook (Lum Arng) and the staff were very nice.

5.00This is an excellent cooking class. We made a Green by mango salad, Khmer yellow curry and Banana palm for dessert. Everything tasted awesome. It was easy to follow along with our instructor, Peark Lom Ang. The room is spacious and all the equipment worked well and was in good condition. We will definitely make these recipes when we get home.

5.00It was a perfect and funny day. The teacher, called LomAng Peark, was very friendly and we had a very good time in the market buying the things and afterwards cooking such delicious dishes. I had a very good time and recommend this activity to every tourist in Nom Pehn. The activity takes place in the beautiful La Rose Suites. Thank you!!
