5.00Even though it was a particularly cold night, I had such a lovely time exploring Fushimi Inari with Roman! I can definitely recommend this nighttime activity since the crowds thin out quite a bit and you get the unique experience of being able to have the gates mostly to yourself. For those that prefer a more quiet, meditative experience of the Tori gates, I’d happily recommend this evening tour!

5.00I thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Roman. He was highly professional and detailed in his description of the various shrines and aspects of Shinto ritual. It was a fun tour and I highly recommend Roman.

Fushimi Inari is already a breathtaking place, but experiencing it with a knowledgeable guide made it unforgettable. The walk through the endless vermillion torii gates felt magical, and our guide shared so many fascinating stories about the shrine’s history, the fox symbolism, and the traditions that still shape the area today. We were taken to beautiful hidden spots away from the crowds, which made the experience feel peaceful and authentic. The pacing was perfect—enough time for photos, exploring, and soaking in the atmosphere. I left feeling inspired, energized, and so grateful for the experience. If you’re visiting Kyoto, this tour is a must. It was one of the highlights of my trip!
