Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers
Enjoy the crux of the famed tourist spots of Leh in a day. After an early breakfast visit to the centuries-old Leh palace. Next Nimoo to see the magnificent view of the Confluence of Indus and Zanskar rivers at Nimoo. The spot is also famously known as Sangam. You can opt for a thrilling 16 KM rafting session here in the Zanskar river at additional cost. Stop at Magnetic Hill, Gurduwara Pathar Saheb and Hall of Fame on the journey back. Spend the evening at Shanti Stupa. Overnight and dinner at the hotel in Leh.
Leh Royal Palace
Leh Palace, also known as Lachen Palkar Palace, is a former royal palace overlooking the city of Leh in Ladakh, India. It was constructed circa 1600 by Sengge Namgyal. The palace was abandoned when Dogra forces took control of Ladakh in the mid-19th century and forced the royal family to move to Stok Palace.
Magnetic Hill
Magnet Hill is a gravity hill located near Leh in Ladakh, India. The layout of the area and surrounding slopes create the optical illusion of a hill. The hill road is actually a downhill road. Objects and cars on the hill road may appear to roll uphill in defiance of gravity when they are, in fact, rolling downhill

Famously known as the gateway to the Nubra and Shyok Valleys in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. It is the highest motorable pass in the world. It is filled with tourists crossing over from Leh and stopping long enough to click some photographs. Adventure bikers from all parts of our country and across the world visit this mountain pass on their motorcycles for an adventure-soaked experience. Khardung La Pass is positioned on the Ladakh range, which is 40 km from Leh, at an altitude of 18,379 ft (5602 m).

After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive towards the eastern border of Ladakh, crossing the Shayok Valley. The drive to Pangong is an adventure in itself, offering stunning views of the rugged mountains and the picturesque landscapes of Ladakh. Upon reaching Pangong by afternoon, you'll be greeted by the world's highest saltwater lake, situated at a height of almost 4,350m. The crystal-clear blue waters of the lake stand in stark contrast to the arid mountains surrounding it, making for a breathtaking sight. Pangong Lake is one of the most famous lakes in Leh Ladakh, extending to almost 160 km, with one-third of it lying in India and the other two-thirds in China. You can spend the evening exploring the beauty of the lake, enjoying a leisurely stroll along the banks. Since the region is situated at an altitude of over 4000 metres above sea level with minimum artificial light, the entire Changthang is ideal for stargazing (Subjected to clear weather conditions)

Located to the North of the Indus River on a hilltop, less than 20km from Leh town, Thiksey Monastery built in 1430 AD belongs to the Gelukpa Order

Shey monastery and palace is located 15 kilometers from Leh town on the Leh - Manali road. Shey palace and the monastery were built in the 16th Century AD. The monastery enshrines the Du-Khang with an almost 10 meter high copper statue of Lord Buddha. The Shey palace was built by King Deledan Nagmyal and Shey Palace boasts of the largest victory stupa in Leh, the top of which is made of pure gold. The Shey Palace was the abode of the royal family till 1834 AD when they moved to the Stok palace. The Shey Palace has been taken over by ASI for conservation.
Gyapthago Heritage Home and Guest House
Afternoon, visit the Gyab Thago heritage home for a traditional Ladakhi culinary experience. The Gyap Thago is a heritage home that is more than 200 years old, located in Stok Hamlet, which is almost 20 km away from Leh. This magnificent house is a legacy of Ladakh's great ancestors, and it still stands today. During the heritage lunch, you will have the opportunity to tour the ancient home before enjoying a pure vegetarian Ladakhi dinner, starting with the traditional alcoholic brew called "Chang."

5.00To make a long story short, my mother was travelling into Leh and, while in Delhi trying to connect to her flight, her original trip and group fell through. Through pure chance, I got connected with Fida from Ladakh Backpackers, and just sent him a whatsapp message in he middle of the night. Fida went above and beyond to help my mother out, get her into Leh, within a few hours had a whole tour set up and booked for her with driver, guide, hotels, meals - everything. Fida welcomed her personally in Leh upon arrival, made her feel comfortable and did this with no pre-payment of any kind. I have not met Fida, but I can already say he is an extraordinary person - just the way he helped us and talked to us and organized everything so fast and so perfect. Big, big thank you to Fida and his team, a group of beautiful, well organized, professional and honest people. Could not recommend them enough! Hoping I, too, will visit you one day, Sofia Gignac.

5.00Travelled with a friend and had the most amazing experience in Ladakh, thanks to Ladakh Backpackers! Fida, the manager, and his team did an excellent job with the itinerary planning. Every day was well organized and with a lot of flexibility to make the most of the day! Big thanks to Fida and Padma who always personally make sure we are well taken care of! We were also in the good hands of experienced driver, Stanzin, who made travel on the demanding routes so comfortable! I highly recommend this great team who made our trip so safe and memorable!

5.00We were family of 6 - went for 10 day trip from Chennai. I was worried that my father who is near 70 and mother near 65 can go through the trip- esp khardungla pass where oxygen is less, pangong tso where oxygen drops fast at night and chang la pass. No issues whatsoever we had. It was perfectly planned and executed including oxygen cylinders best innova and drivers who knew the area like back of the hand. Ladakh backpackers made it happen. From the airport pickup in srinagar to boat house to monasteries to leh to turtuk to dunes to camel ride to snowy mountains - the best tour we ever had. Would recommend ladakh backpackers to be safe and enjoy.

5.00Thank you team Ladakh Backpackers for the wonderful experience. A very well organized tour with great places to visit. All the hotels provided had excellent facilities. As Ladakh is a high altitude region the tour design with time for acclimatisation to high altitude helps a lot. We always had a Oxygen Cylinder in the tour vehicle in case of emergency, but did not require it. Fida and Padma met us twice to see if everything was going fine. A big shoutout to Zahoor Bhai our vehicle driver for his calm and safe driving throughout our time in Ladakh and answering our questions. All in all the Ladakh Backpackers Rock.

5.00This review is specifically for the car we hired to go around in Ladakh for 10 days in June 2024. We landed in Leh, spent a couple of days there and then traveled to Khardungla Pass, Nubra Valley, Pangong, Hanle, Tso Moriri, Taglangla, Hemis and Stok before returning to Leh. Stanzin was our car driver on this tour and we are grateful to him for his amazing companionship. Stanzin is very professional and was not just our driver for us but also a fantastic tour guide. His English speaking skills are a little challenged but his driving skills, his patience, conduct, attitude, friendliness and professionalism are almost 10/10. It further amazes you that almost everyone seems to know him in Ladakh. One can reach Stanzin at +91 60066 86737.

5.00If you want to see Ladakh then it has to be with the Ladakh backpackers team. Fida, Padma, Gulam and team! The best part was their customer centricity and obsession. They would go to any extent to make sure that you have a memorable experience. Their planning of the trip, attention to all details and they are there at every step to help you. We were travelling with small kids and Fida was guiding us in each and every step. The hotels they booked were excellent, the cars and their drivers were superb. They don’t treat you as “one more customer” they really make you feel special and they understand that it’s a life time trip for many. My elder daughter was not feeling well so Padma and Fida came to the hotel and took us to the doctor, this was very touching and I would always remember their gesture.
It’s Authentic, affordable and trusted. Hygienic rooms, amazing transportation and homely food…………..
