5.00Travelogue diary Leh to Nubra. Our day started early with our awesome tour guide and driver Shahid from Jammu. We left at 8am to drive through the Himalayas, The highest motor mountain pass Khardungla pass at 17 982 ft above sea level. We needed to carry an oxygen tank and take medication to accommodate the thin air. The views were majestic, snow on the mountain range and the gorgeous stark beauty of Mother nature. Our sight seeing included a 14th century Buddhist monastery in the mountains, camel safaris on the sand dunes and quad bike riding on the dunes. The natural streams were crystal clear. The architecture in Leh has intricate wooden carvings on all windows and doors. It's a by law. A definite place to put on your bucket list
