Our experience at the Falls and the Elephant Sanctuary was unforgettable, Tony is an excellent guide, I definitely recommend it. It made our experience even better. He took very nice videos and photos and kept an eye on us at all times, explaining each visit. Thanks Tony.

Tony was super. We feed and watched the elephants get bathed in the river. Learned much about the Laos elephant's life as a beast of burden and the need to rescue the elephants from abuse. The waterfalls were spectacular and the climb to the top was not bad, just 543 steps. Lunch at a local restaurant was tasty!

We had a lovely guide and the experience overall was great. The elephants were well taken care of, and we had the opportunity to learn about life in a local village. Without this experience wouldn’t have even known about the hidden gems we visited throughout the day.

What a great day. Tony is the best. Lots of great information about our day. Hmong village and water falls and the best part of the day would have to be what is definitely an elephant sanctuary that is what it claims to be. Don’t miss it.

Tony was a very accommodating guide! We had to change the itinerary because of the weather and he had a fabulous city tour backup plan ready to go before we headed out to the elephant sanctuary. He was very knowledgeable of the elephant camp and coordinated our activities there with minimal downtime. Enjoyed feeding both adult and baby elephants, watching them bathe in the river, exploring the area and elephant museum, seeing dung paper making process, and eating a fabulous lunch looking over the river!

  • Disappointing experience with the day tour

We booked the day tour for 115 € per person, but it already ended at 14:00. The price seems disproportionately high. The tour included the Kuang-Si waterfalls (admission 60,000 Kip) and an elephant feeding (approximately 350,000 Kip admission). Both places could also be reached by a tuktuk, the guide Tony was very nice but is not necessary for this tour. In addition, the elephant washing in the river listed in the scope of services did not take place. Personally, I wouldn't recommend the tour to anyone at this price, nor would I book it again, as they are organized at a fraction of the price themselves.

We had a wonderful day with Tony as our guide. We stopped at a Hmong village which I was really interested in. Next we went to the falls, which were beautiful to see and we walked the 542 steps to the top. The very special part about this tour is going to the Elephant sanctuary. We had fun feeding the elephants and watching them enjoy their bath in the river. Tony was an excellent guide throughout the day and we learned a lot about Laos. A great day and we would recommend it to anyone!

This was the most amazing day, which we will never forget! We started with an early morning visit to the beautiful Kuang falls ahead of all the crowds. So fabulous to view the falls and take a solo swim! Stunning start to the day. The Elephant village is a truely ethical conservation project and the Elephants are well looked after and spend time free in the forest living a natural life after being rescued from hard work & tourism abuse. The village is in a beautiful setting and very peaceful and quiet. Tony our guide was excellent, he was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic to teach us about the care and history of the elephants. He spoke very good English and it was a pleasure to spend the day with him. We spent time feeding the elephants bananas, including a fairly newly arrived baby Elephant. We followed them to the river where, for an extra fee (very well worth it!) we joined the keepers in washing them. Such an amazing experience including being sprayed by the elephant! We were very excited to spend time with the elephants and were not disappointed at all. It's a truly magical day with no hard sell or wasted time. We loved every minute and can't stop smiling! Couldn't have been any better, we're sure this will be the highlight of our trip!

We had a wonderful day with the elephants. It was nice to be able to be so close to the animals without (hopefully) stressing them out. The Kuang Si Waterfall is also absolutely worthwhile. And as a little add-on there was another very interesting visit to a Hmong village.
