Sigulda New Castle

Built in 1878 in the Neo-Gothic style as the landlords house for the owners of the manor, the prince Kropotkin family. From the palace terrace you can see a wonderful view of Gauja Senleja, which is especially beautiful in autumn, when the leaves of the trees turn yellow and red.

Castle Of The Livonian Order In Sigulda

Sigulda Medieval Castle ruins are located on the edge of the Gauja River valley. The original castle was built in 1207 as a castellum type fortress, later rebuilt into a convent type building. The residence of the Land Marshal of the Livonian Order since 1432.

The activity was excellent, the guide was very lively and took us to very beautiful places. Too bad that because of a bored tourist she limited our visits and time in the places

Armands was so knowledgeable and was a great guide. He was polite and gave us lots of information but was interesting without being boring. Definitely worth it!

This experience was indeed incredible not only because of the beautiful sites we visited within the Gauja National Park but also because of the excellent tour guide, Armands, who carries out the tour! He is super funny and is very knowledgeable all you need to know about Latvia and its neighbouring countries! Highly recommended!
