  so much fun! chris made sure we were safe each step of the way. we explored the legislative grounds, some monuments, and downtown. definitely recommended. you will be a natural segway rider like us at the end of the tour, haha!

  My hubby and I did the Legislature Lights Segway tour Dec 26th. Temperature with windchill was slightly warmer than the -15 cut off. (Note: Dress in many layers and wear a big scarf or balaclava to make it enjoyable and keep from freezing). Our guide was personable, prompt and informative. He stopped at key points to highlight bits of history or interesting tidbits about the grounds. His explanations were brief enough to make it interesting but also keep us warm and moving. We were quite surprised the segways nor provided helmets did not have headlights, and the guide wore mostly dark colored clothing. Would have been safer to wear a reflective vest/ have headlights as we were zipping around close to traffic and crossing streets after dark. At one point, the guide encouraged us to speed up to make a traffic light (again, we were all in black) which we felt uneasy about due to traffic. Navigating a segway on snow and ice is a bit trickier than on dry pacement (we have been twice before during Fall). The guide's crash-course in safety and practicing segway skills at low speed at the beginning was appreciated. However, both my hubby and I took a small spill while driving over snow buildup (there was freshly-fallen snow). Our ski pants cushioned us and the guide ensured we were ok and consistently provided the safest possible path for us to follow. The guide stopped at 3 picture-perfect points to snap a photo of us on our phone (which is not easy to capture people, landscape, and Christmas lights after dark so his experience in knowing the perfect spots was appreciated). We will be back (wearing reflective clothing next time!). The river valley affter dark in its Christmas-lighted glory is magical!

  Found the ride to be very relaxing, so it was a very enjoyable experience. This is a great choice if you are looking to try something new. Beginner training was easy to follow and thorough too.

  We were looking for something fun to do in the winter in Edmonton and this popped up. Josh was very thorough in our Segway training and gave us a fantastic tour of the legislature, the lights, and some notable history with artifacts in between. It was a fantastic night.

• A Whole New Way to See the Christmas Lights at the Legislature

  It was a but intimidating at first but we quickly found out how easy it is to operate the Segway. It was so much fun adding a whole new dimension to just "seeing" the Christmas Lights. Our guide and instructor, Chris, was friendly, knowledgeable and very conscious of keeping us safe. We learned stuff about the area we didn't know. It was a great experience and we will definitely be taking another tour in the Spring or early Summer. Dress warm...we got lucky to have a terrific above zero evening but if it is cooler, the breeze we create would make it a cold experience if you aren't prepared.

  This was my first time on a segway and Chris did a great job teaching us how to control and operate the Segway like a pro. The tour was paced well with a few stops to learn about Alberta's history. I would recommend the tour and a good pair of wool socks to keep your feet warm.

  We took the one hour legislature lights Segway tour with Chris last night. It was awesome. This was our seventh Segway tour but our first of the Christmas lights at night. Amazing! A cup of hot chocolate and a candy cane finished off the Christmas tour.
