3.00It was really my fault for not reading the descriptions closely, but I wouldn't have picked this day trip if I knew it was a 3-hours boat-ride EACH WAY. Spending 6 hours on a boat, even on a nice, spacious one like the South Sea Cruise ship, was highly unpleasant. But if you are a guest staying at the Mantaray Island Resort - the place is a paradise, especially for snorkeling. I have never seen so many fish in my life. It is all so wild, free and beautiful. The only issue with the snorkeling tour is that the ship they used was a bit old and not barefoot-safe. My boyfriend badly scraped his toe when entering the boat using the ladder (the sea was very choppy at the time). The staff was clearly not equipped to handle the situation, though of course they tried and were super friendly about it (we took care of the wound after we went back to our resort 3 hours later). Overall, excellent place but definitely wouldn't do it as a day trip!
