Mardi himal is a beautiful trek that showcases many of the Himalayan mountain peaks. It's a shorter trek, but spectacular nonetheless. It's becoming popular, but the trek isn't as populated as Annapurna Basecamp, so you will have plenty of opportunity to enjoy nature with few people around. While this trek can take 5 days, we can customize the trek to you and/or your party's needs. We want to make sure your experience in the Annapurna Conservation Area is one that you'll cherish for the rest of your life.

Pokhara Lakeside
On Day 1 we start from Pokhara Lakeside early in the day to get to Khande. We start our trek from here, traveling to Forest Camp where we will sleep at one of the local tea houses.
Forest Camp > Badal Dhanda (4 - 6 hours)

Mardi Himal
Day 2 we have breakfast then start our trek towards Badal Dhanda. We will walk through the jungles of the Annapurna Conservation District, filled with trees, some wildlife, and plenty of silence. Quite the beautiful hike! We will end our trek at Badal Dhanda where we will stay at a local tea house for the night.
Badal Dhanda > High Camp (4 - 5 hours)

Mardi Himal
On Day 3 we march on to High Camp. This will take between 4-5 hours. As we trek we will start to get 360 degree view of the Annapurna Conservation District and the Himalayan mountains. The stunning views of Annapurna South, Himchuli, and Machapuchre aka Fish Tail, will bless us with their presence. We end our trek at High Camp where we will stay for the night and prepare for our early early Sunrise trek to the Mardi himal basecamp.
High Camp > Mardi himal basecamp for sunrise > High Camp (4 - 5 hours)

Mardi Himal
We begin the day early around 4 - 430 AM for our trek to Mardi himal basecamp to see the sunrise. If we cannot get to the basecamp before sunrise, we will trek to the view point for magnificent views of Mardi himal and quite a few other mountains from the Annapurna range. We will enjoy the view before heading back to High Camp to call it a day.
High Camp > Sidhing > Pokhara (7 - 8 hours trekking)

Pokhara Lakeside
On Day 5 we start the trek back to Pokhara. We start early as we head towards Sidhing where we will catch our ride back to Pokhara.

5.00I went on an 8 day Mardi trek with Madhav as a guide. He took care of all logistics including booking flights and bus to Pokhara, booking lodges and helped me to choose a route according to my interests. Also, Madhav was really great company and I learned a lot from him about the Nepalese culture and history. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to do a joyful and stress free trekking in Nepal.

5.00Our trekking to Mardi Himal High camp was a great experience thanks to our guide Madhav and porter Gopal! Despite the foggy weather at the beginning, we had a nice finish at High camp with wonderful views of the high snow-capped peaks. We had lovely days and views and also tough hikes, especially on the way down. We can highly recommend Madhav and his porters.

5.00I pass wonderfull time with Madu during the trip. He listen what you want and need, then he adapt the trek for you. He knows a lot about his culture and nature. If you want, you can try some food from the forest because he knows what is possible to eat. He always wants you feel good and he makes all the moment magic time like dancing at the top of the mountain :)))). I feel secure with him all the time, he let you alone if you want your time but he is here when you want to speak and share something. To be honest I could not imagine a better guide. I already think about the next trip with him. Madu is really generous, after the trip he invite me in his family, he has big sens of humanity. Another time : thank you ;)

5.00Imagine you're walking under the stars in the Himalyas. You so closed to the sky that you feel you can touch the sky, that's the feeling I had while doing the Mardi Himal Trek. Doing this trek with Madhu was just a fabulous experience. He knows where to bring you so you live a full 100% Nepalese experience. Madhu brings you to places where you will be the only tourist. Madhu knows how to listen to your needs and adapt the trek to you. You will get wonderful discussions and lot of fun with him. After 10 days in the mountains (we combined Mardi Himal and Poonhill), I didn't get enough, so I already booked my next trip with Madhu. This time, I will bring my whole family with me.

5.00Together with our super guide Madu we went on a amazing trek to the Mardi Himal Basecamp! Madu took our pace into account and told us a lot about the things we saw during the trek. 5.00This was a once in a lifetime hike with incredible views! I had the pleasure of having Madu as my guide. He was informative, fun loving and made the trip as seamless as possible. He worked incredibly well alongside myself and my friends and taught us so much about Nepal and the culture. I will definitely be returning to AAA treks in the future!
