5.00I have been wine tasting in a lot of great places. This area definitely held its own. Multiple different takes on wines I already knew and a lot of really cool informal education on the area. Kevin was fabulous.

5.00Our day with Discovery Wine Tours was fantastic. Tony and Toni met us at the I-Site in Picton. Our group was made entirely of cruise ship passengers . Tony led us to the. An and we were off. We visited 4 distinctly different wineries in the Marlborough region. Each one offered something unique. Tony kept everything fun and everything went smoothly. We thoroughly enjoyed our group, the wineries and the entire experience. I do recommend as an alternative to ship offered shore excursions.

5.00I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Discovery Wine Tours, specifically working with Toni on booking our experience and Vic on the day of the tour. I had originally booked a cruise excursion for while we were in Picton, but our cruise unfortunately got cancelled. We still wanted to make the trip to Marlborough a reality, so Toni helped us plan an alternative date and modify the itinerary. We ended up on the full day tour with Vic and got picked up at Blenheim Airport - our tour ran from 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM! Our tour took us to five different wineries, all with different styles and varieties of wines. We loved hearing about the history of the region and talking with others on the tour about their experience with wine. Vic did an excellent job keeping us on schedule and making sure we were enjoying our time but moving us along to the next stop. Lastly, I forgot something on the van on our way out, and Toni went above and beyond to make sure we got it back in the mail, even though we were in a completely different town in New Zealand. I can't say enough how grateful we are for a lovely day in Marlborough and how she saved the trip afterwards as well!
No “Cuisine” included in tour costs

1.00Read the small print, as although the title says “Cuisine” there is no food/snacks included in the tour at any of the tastings or the lunch stop. You need to separately purchase anything that classes as “Cuisine”.

5.00WE booked this tour with Tony to help us celebrate my husbands 80th birthday with friends and Family from out of town to have a unique experience. Toni guided me through the whole process ad made suggestions which fitted up prefectly. We toured with 17 guests from mkorning tea, to 2 winetasting, lovely lunch, visit to the chocolate factory and finally a musical serenade in the dungeon at Framingham. What made the day most memorable was the way Toni looked after us. made sure everyone had what the needed. she took all the stress of the day out of my hand and became a caring angel. I cant thank her enough and we shall never forget this golden day. All our guests were impressed, happy and took the wonderful memories back home with them.

5.00We organised a private full day tour. Luckily we had Bill for our driver who was knowledgeable, helpful and very personable. The tour was tailored to our likes which was a challenge as some of us were red wine drinkers while others white wine drinkers. We discovered some lesser known wineries and wines and particularly enjoyed Gibson Bridge vineyard and Howard’s insight. The Wine Shed tasting and lunch with Alain and Lara was exceptional. Fromm also had some delicious wines. We asked to visit Cloudy Bay but the big corporate winery was a disappointment after the intimate smaller vineyards. We wouldn’t have discovered or learnt so much about the Marlborough wine area if we had self driven around the region. Thank you Toni for organising the perfect tour for us. You’ve got a gem in Bill.

5.00Our flight from the night before was cancelled which made our 10:00 wine tour impossible but the tour operator insured us that all would work out and it did. We ended up meeting the 12:00 tour at Allen Scott vineyard with the other tour members. We had a nice lunch and tasting and moved on to 3 additional wineries and a chocolate shop. Our fellow tasters from Canada and Scotland were lovely people and our tour operator Bill and his wife were also so nice and accommodating. Bills wife (Ginny I think) also gave us parting gifts of shortbread cookies which we have been savoring in moderation. Highly recommend this wine tour!

5.00We were taken to some lovely boutique vineyards, as this was our first time in Blenheim, we wouldn't have known where to go. We aren't big fans of Sauvignon and Toni perfectly tailored the tour to our taste. We went as a family of four and had a great day, everybody was very friendly, welcoming and informative.

5.00Just returned from a full day tour of the Marlborough region wineries. Our tour guide Bill was a wealth of information and made the day great. Visited 5 wonderful establishments from small indecently owned to the larger more commercialised vineyards. Found all the staff to be informative and friendly. Bill made a stop at Manuka Chocolate factory in the way home. Overall we had a very pleasant day and would recommend this tour as part of your holiday experience in the area.

5.00Excellent day with Chris driving us around the Blenheim and Renwick wineries. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the splendid wines from this region, pinot gris (Wither Hills) in particular for us although the chardonnay at St Clair, Methode Champenoise at No.1, and Gewürztraminer at Gibsons boutique winery were all delicious.
