5.00Wilson was an exceptional guide. We learned about the Mayan culture prior to the Spanish invasion and how Mayans held on to their culture through art, food, music and, often, surreptitious integration of Mayan symbolism with Catholic architecture. We walked for hours and enjoyed all he had to teach us, along with his charming company.

5.00Wilson was an excellent guide. He added a layer depth & cultural knowledge about Mayan history & culture that enhanced our appreciation of the textiles we had come to Guatemala to see. I would highly recommend connecting with Wilson for a tour to learn more about guatemalan textiles, iconography, meaning of colours & history of Mayan people. Gracias Wilson!

5.00I am so glad I did this tour, although most of us visitors visit Antigua for the Acatenango hike, this tour is a great gift to learn more about Antigua. I learned so much and gained a great understanding of this city. Cali is amazing!

5.00This is a great opportunity to learn about Antigua and the Maya cosmovision. Wilson is an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable guide. I took the tour in English and Wilson might as well be a native speaker. I can't recommend this tour enough!

5.00Wow! We very rarely write reviews, but we had such a fabulous 4 hour tour with Wilson yesterday that we felt compelled to do so. We travel extensively and have been on countless cultural and city tours. By far, our tour with Wilson about the culture and history of Mayans far exceeded all others we have participated in. He brings an incredible depth of knowledge and passion about his culture to the table and was more than happy to answer all of our questions. Four hours is a long time for a tour, but Wilson included engaging interactive aspects and was never boring. As a linguist, language teacher and interpreter he possesses excellent English. Additionally, he has a lovely and congenial personality and is very pleasant to be with. We felt his positive energy immediately upon meeting him and we truly felt like we had made a new friend. We highly recommend this tour; you won’t be disappointed.

5.00Absolutely wonderful tour. I wanted to understand how the Mayans kept their culture under Spanish rule and Wilson answered all my questions in the way only a true Mayan would have been able to. We walked around the city and he pointed out all the hidden symbolism in the architecture and at the same time explained the history behind the city.

He is a committed, knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and adaptable guide who genuinely cares about his work and cultural heritage. His passion and understanding of his own culture, combined with his curiosity about other cultures and the world, make the tour engaging, insightful, and interactive. Although it lasts four hours, it never feels too long—it's a relaxing experience. Plus, you get excellent value for your money!
