Our Mayan Ruins and Inland Blue Hole tour starts off with a scenic drive from Hopkins to San Jose Succotz in Cayo District. This 2 hours drive will take you on the famous Hummingbird Highway, through the capital city Belmopan and San Igancio Town, then on to San Jose Succotz, where we will be crossing over a river on a hand-cranked ferry to access Xunantunich Site.
After the Xunantunich Site, your guide/driver will take you to experience an authentic Belizean lunch at Hode's Place in San Ignacio Town.
After lunch, we will head to the Blue Hole National Park for a refreshing swim in the Blue Hole cenote, a one-hour drive from San Ignacio.
Your guide/driver will also give you the option to stop at gift shops near the ruins and stop at Country Barn Ice-cream on the Hummingbird Highway.

Xunantunich
Xunantunich is located in the Cayo District near the village of San Jose Succotz just a few miles out of San Ignacio Town. From there a hand-cranked ferry will take you across the Mopan River. From the other side of the river, it’s a mile uphill to the site, which can be accessed on foot or in a vehicle. From the parking lot we will then make our way to El Castillo, one of the three largest Maya Temples of Belize, and the largest structure on this site standing 130 feet above plaza level, with a panorama overlooking the surrounding area when you climb to the top if the temple. El Castillo is remarkable for a series of stucco friezes on its exterior that depict stories and events from Maya mythology.

We will be stopping at Hode's Place for lunch, this restaurant is one of the best local restaurant in San Ignacio Town.

5.00Our driver picked us up from our resort in Hopkins in a very comfortable minivan. He was very personable and knowledgeable about the area. Upon reaching the Mopan River crossing, we met our guide, another very personable and knowledgeable man. The grounds of the ruins were beautiful and the ruins themselves very impressive. My husband opted to climb to the top of the Xunatunich ruin, but I sat out under the shade of a picnic structure. The tour was approximately 2 hours long. After the tour we had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant with our guide then headed to the Inland Blue Hole, a beautifully clear and refreshing cenote. After about an hour there we headed back to our resort. The whole tour was wonderful, from the scenery, the history, to the guides. We highly recommend this tour!

5.00We used Julian Ground Transport 3 times on our recent trip to Belize. On one occasion they picked us up from Placencia and drove us to our accommodations in Hopkins. Then we did an all day trip to Xunantunich and Inland Blue Hole to swim, which included going to a restaurant for lunch. We had Darwin as our driver. He was friendly and would tell us about the history and the sites along the way. On our last day, we were happy to see Darwin, again, as our driver, to take us to our hotel in Belize City from Hopkins. This service is very reliable, with clean air conditioned vans. The drivers were very prompt or even early to arrive and very friendly. We highly recommend this company!

5.00What an amazing and fun day! Belize is such a gorgeous country. The ruins were spectacular, and the view from the top was almost as awe-inspiring as the temple itself. We enjoyed our tour guide, very knowledgeable and fun. The inland blue hole was also more than I expected. The water flows from underground, and returns underground just downstream. We got cooled off and had a delicious lunch after. After returning we immediately booked the rafting trip with Julian Tours. Can't wait!!!!

5.00We used Julian Transfers for our excursion to the Ruins and Blue hole. Our guide was Victor. He was very knowledgeable and made it fun. You can tell he has a lot of pride and love for his country. We loved his choice for lunch. Everything was 10 out of 10!!!

5.00We had a great time, our tour guide Victor made it a memorable excursion. He was very knowledgeable and funny and willing to stop along the way when we wanted to. We went to the Mayan ruins and inland blue hole. We heard howler monkeys at blue hole, great experience!

5.00This company is absolutely amazing. We traveled to Belize in September and did the mayan ruins and blue hole tour. We had Victor as our tour guide, he is wonderful and very knowledgeable about everything. He also stopped at places along the way and showed us different parts of the Belizian culture while driving to the mayan ruins. My brother is visually impaired, and Victor and the company went out of their way to make is accessible and easier for my brother. Another reason I booked this company was they are one of the few that actually picked us up at the Hopskins Bay Resort. Most other places you would have to get a taxi to meet them. All around this is a great company and I would highly recommend if looking to do a tour in Belize. Ask for Victor when booking.

5.00Shuttle transfer, atm cave tour, Mayan ruins and inland blue hole plus the Monkey River tour. It was amazing from pick up to airport drop off. We experienced multiple vehicles and drivers and all were top notch!

5.00Alex was the best driver and guide at the Mayan ruins! He gave us so much history. We liked his tour so much that we signed up for 2 tours the following day. A hike to the waterfalls and swim in the waterfall pool. It was a very challenging hike and along the way he gave us examples of Mayan medicinal plants. Alex gave us delicious Belize bananas and plantain chips and water to snack on. Afterwards, we changed into clean dry clothes and took a tour of the Marie Sharps hot sauce factory. Alex suggested this tour because he heard us talk about our love of this Belize hot sauce! Super interesting experience because we got a tasting of all their hot sauces and fruit jams Thank you Alex for your knowledge, safe transport, and fun tours.
