The tour starts with a convenient pick-up (with our VIP minibus) from your hotel in Kalabaka or Kastraki. During this guided tour you will have the opportunity to see all six magnificent monasteries and admire the interior of three of them. Additionally, view some of Meteora’s most spectacular hidden gems like the ancient Chapel of Doupiani and the magnificent St. George “Mandilas” cave. You will also discover the “other side” of Meteora, like the truth about why the hermits settled in these imposing caves a thousand years ago and how the monks achieved the “impossible”. If English isn’t your primary language, don’t worry! We offer free audio guides in Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese & Korean. Last but not least, take the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views and capture some amazing photos that you will cherish forever.
Kastraki
At the bottom of the Holy Meteora Rocks and not far from Kalambaka is located Kastraki (translated as small castle in Greek). This picturesque village took its name from a small Byzantine castle, whose ruins are still saved today.

Fantastic tour. Trust me- you do not want to try to visit the Meteora without a tour guide. Meteora gets packed and there are zero places to park and the driving can be dangerous. Our tour bus picked us up at our Air BnB. We learned the history behind Meteora and each Monastery. We did not feel rushed and all. Highly recommend.

Great little tour seeing inside 3 of the monasteries plus also doing quick stops to see some of the other ones.

Our tour guide Vasili was so nice and extremely knowledgeable about the Meteora region. We had many opportunities to stop for pictures along the way.

Excellent way to see a few of the monasteries and hear the history without the hassle of having to fight the crowds with your car!

The Maria guide was a charming and professional. The minibus driver drove well and quietly through the mountains. I think they should inform in advance about the entry price (€5) since it was higher than what I put on other websitesb(€2). I also think they should specify which monasteries are to be visited. They didn't arrive at pickup time but apologized.
