Explore the natural wonders of Molokini Crater, a volcanic islet 3 miles (4.8 km) off the coast of Maui, on this snorkeling tour from Maalaea. Surrounded by clear tropical waters, this extinct cone is home to many species of marine life, such as fish, sea urchins, sharks, manta rays, and coral. Molokini is a marine preserve, meaning nothing can be disturbed, keeping the island and underwater environment pristine. You'll also explore Turtle Town, and admire native birds. Two water slides, a glass bottom viewing room, and a "leap of faith" are also available if you don't want to snorkel or finish early. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, soda, and juice are included.

Wheelchair accessible. Motorized wheelchairs and electric scooters are not able to be accommodated. Manual wheelchairs are allowed up to a maximum width of 28". Personal weight restriction of approximately 280 pounds due to the ramp configuration and ability of crew to assist in boarding the wheelchair with the occupant.

A tour with the Calypso is one of the most fun on Maui! After everyone is settled in, it’s off to the most popular underwater destination in Maui for some Molokini snorkeling! While you are enjoying the feel of the ocean wind in your hair. Molokini Crater is located between the islands of Maui and Kaho’olawe. This beautiful site is not only home to several fish species, but many species of birds, as well! The crater is a designated Marine Life Conservation District and bird preserve, so no fishing or climbing on the crater is allowed, but wearing flippers and a mask to watch the fish is perfectly wonderful. After your Molokini snorkeling, Calypso will whisk you to Turtle Town – a second snorkeling spot. Off the south side of Maui, Turtle Town is home to several large sea turtles as well as dynamic reef fish.

5.00These guys run a boat tour business like a well oiled machine! Keeping 80 passengers organized and treated as well as we were is no small feat. Professional, upbeat crew! They have some go-pro cameras fir you to get your own snorkeling footage and you can buy said footage for $65. For us, it was very much worth it. Fish, turtles, eels, we saw a bunch! Molokini snorkeling is hands down the best we've done. Whale watching on the ride too during mating season. Turtle town snorkeling was cool too. Food was great, several selections. Just know that alcoholic drinks are extra for $3 each but that's cheaper than any drink at home so to us it wasn't an issue. Again, these guys are awesome!!

5.00The five hour trip had an hour of snorkeling at the island and another hour at turtle town. The staff were very helpful and made for a nice experience. The breakfast and lunch were nice along with the drinks after we finished in the water. Seeing whales coming and going was a bonus we didn't expect. They were very active.

5.00Great trip start to finish. The crew and boat were top notch. Really enjoyed the attentive service the food that was served (the pulled pork was very good). Snorkeling destinations were awesome. I highly recommend this tour.

5.00The crew and boat were great! They were very attentive to our needs. Always smiling and cheerful. Nonstop food and drinks throughout the entire excursion. We saw numerous humpback whales ,a couple dolphins, turtles and lots of fish. Overall it was a great experience.

5.00All aspects of this excursion exceeded my expectations. As predicted, the snorkeling and sites along the way were incredible. But, what really made this trip special was the crew. Captain Nat was in no hurry. He took the time to stop for all the whale and dolphin sightings. We basically got a free whale watching tour on the side. He personally shared his deep knowledge of the ocean and local sharks with me for about 20 minutes on deck. Nothing was rushed. The jumping platform is awesome, just don’t let Erika catch you doing a flip 😉 the whole crew was highly trained. The lifeguards (shout out to kye), made everyone feel safe and comfortable, and inform the guests how to respect the ocean and its creatures. Food and snacks were plentiful, and they will make you a mean Mai tai on the way home. This WHOLE crew will take care of you Mahalo!

5.00This snorkeling trip was fantastic! The crew was attentive and positive! We saw turtles , tons of colorful and interesting fish while snorkeling and humpback whales from the boat. The food was great! Our whole family had an outstanding time and we would definitely do this trip again if we return to Hawaii.

5.00A wonderful experience, although the water was a little cold, you honestly don't even notice it because of all the amazing things you see on the reefs. I was even lucky enough to have a turtle emerge from the seabed right next to me, and it was incredible. We were also fortunate enough to see whales, even though we weren't expecting them. All the staff were very attentive, especially when I had a minor accident jumping into the water. They took great care of me, and I was truly grateful.

5.00Our family had a wonderful experience. The staff was wonderful and the locations were as promised. We even got to see whales! Food while on board was excellent. If ever in Maui again, we would take this trip again. Well worth the money.

5.00The crew was excellent. The two snorkle spots were great, we saw lots of different fish, coral and turtles. We even saw whales on the ride out. The food and service on board was way more than we expected.
