Explore the natural wonders of Molokini Crater, a volcanic islet 3 miles (4.8 km) off the coast of Maui, on this snorkeling tour from Maalaea. Surrounded by clear tropical waters, this extinct cone is home to many species of marine life, such as fish, sea urchins, sharks, manta rays, and coral. Molokini is a marine preserve, meaning nothing can be disturbed, keeping the island and underwater environment pristine. You'll also explore Turtle Town, and admire native birds. Two water slides, a glass bottom viewing room, and a "leap of faith" are also available if you don't want to snorkel or finish early. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, soda, and juice are included.

Wheelchair accessible. Motorized wheelchairs and electric scooters are not able to be accommodated. Manual wheelchairs are allowed up to a maximum width of 28". Personal weight restriction of approximately 280 pounds due to the ramp configuration and ability of crew to assist in boarding the wheelchair with the occupant.

A tour with the Calypso is one of the most fun on Maui! The Calypso leaves from Ma’alaea Harbor, and after you are welcomed aboard by your friendly crew, you can take a look at the delicious continental breakfast. After everyone is settled in, it’s off to the most popular underwater destination in Maui for some Molokini snorkeling! While you are enjoying the feel of the ocean wind in your hair. Molokini Crater is located between the islands of Maui and Kaho’olawe. This beautiful site is not only home to several fish species, but many species of birds, as well! The crater is a designated Marine Life Conservation District and bird preserve, so no fishing or climbing on the crater is allowed, but wearing flippers and a mask to watch the fish is perfectly wonderful. After your Molokini snorkeling, Calypso will whisk you to Turtle Town – a second snorkeling spot. Off the south side of Maui, Turtle Town is home to several large sea turtles as well as dynamic reef fish.

5.00We had a great experience. Crew and captain were super friendly and made sure everyone had a good time. Scenery was amazing and we saw a few turtles. Overall fee for the tour was affordable and the boat was not too crowded. They provided breakfast and lunch on the boat and drinks were cheap. I would do it again.

4.00It was a really enjoyable experience. We saw plenty of fish and turtles, and my older son and I even got to spot an eel, which was a highlight. They also have a water slide and designated spots on the second deck where you can safely jump off the boat, which added a lot of fun to the trip. Breakfast was continental, with muffins, sausage, coffee, and juice. The eggs were quite watery, so I chose not to eat them. Lunch consisted of deli sandwiches and chips, and they also offered a snack selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Overall, we had a great time, and the location was easy to find.

5.00This is a 3 story boat with lots of people on the ride. But it doesn’t feel too packed ever because of being in and out of the water. Best experience we have ever had in Maui. The staff is kind and knowledgeable.

5.00Checking in was easy. Eddy, the upper deck staff, and the rest of the staff was full of smiles and very helpful. The food was actually really good and plenty of it. They stopped to watch a mommy and baby whale as a bonus, since they were near. There is plenty of equipment to use. We had kids and a 5 YO and a baby. We were able to get them on boards and enjoy the adventure with us. The turtles do not mind the presence of people and float very near us. The turtles and fish are what you can see on Maui shoreline, but I still highly recommend Calypso if you want a little adventure out to Molokini. It makes for a great, fun excursion.

5.00What a fabulous experience. More than we ever expected. The snorkling on Molokini was fun but Turtle Town was over the top. Turtle’s swimming with you, under you behind you and so many kinds of fish to see. The food was very good and healthy. The staff was so friendly, attentive and lots of aloha. Great experience.

5.00So many options for floating devices, fun and friendly staff, awesome slides and jumping platform, food was great, cheapest drinks on the island! We lucked out and had a gorgeous day with the opportunity to see fish, turtles, and whales in the distance.

5.00Great trip! Staff/crew were excellent. Captain skilled, knowledgeable and quite funny. We'll organized, from the gear to the food and beverage. Snorkeling was fantastic. Felt safe at all times. Don't be ashamed to use flotation! It helped to just focus on what you were seeing. Get there early for choice of seating. Parking nearer the boat is pay- easily done. Would definitely recommend.
