Tsagaan Suvarga Mine

Our driver and guide will pick up you from your designated hotel or the airport and you will start your tour towards Tsagaan Suvarga. It is accessible through a 420 km paved road and an additional 30 km on an unpaved road from Ulaanbaatar. Bringing a personal neck pillow will help you move more comfortably. After unpacking at the ger camp located on the vast land, we head up to Tsagaan Suvarga to watch the sunset. For those who want to experience the spectacular scenery of this place closer, we recommend trekking on foot. Tsagaan Suvarga, situated in the Gobi Desert, is a distinctive location with a history rooted in its past life as an ocean bed. Visitors exploring this site encounter marine fossils and clamshells amid the vibrant landscape of a 30m-60m high and 6000m long limestone formation.

Yolyn Am

Today's journey takes us to Dalanzadgad, the central town of Umnugobi province. From there, we'll proceed to the main highlight of Govi Gurvansaikhan National Park, the largest attraction in the South Gobi province. Enjoy lunch in Dalanzadgad and take a brief tour of the city before heading to Yoliin Am. Nestled in the Gurvansaikhan National Park, Yoliin Am is surrounded by a desert and a canyon with uniquely shaped rocks. Known as Eagle Valley, this famous tourist destination is home to a variety of wild animals, including eagles. In Yoliin Am, you can enhance your experience by riding a horse through the canyon, providing a unique and scenic perspective. Don't miss the opportunity to capture memorable photos in this extraordinary setting. An optional activity in Yoliin Am is horseback trekking, offering a distinctive way to explore and appreciate the beauty of the canyon. Khongoryn Els

After an early breakfast, our next destination is the Khongoryn Els Sand Dunes. Here, you'll encounter one of Mongolia's seven major deserts, featuring the highest sand dune, stretching 300m high and 100km long. Immerse yourself in the experience by riding a Bactrian camel for an hour and trying sandboarding on the dunes. Indulge in the delightful Mongolian dish, horhok, known for its exceptional taste. The Bactrian camel trekking experience lasts approximately one hour, offering unique moments and photo opportunities at various points. Following dinner, unwind under the starry night sky, creating a relaxing and memorable evening. Optional activities include camel trekking and sand sliding, allowing you to customize your adventure in this spectacular desert landscape.

Flaming Cliffs

After an early breakfast, head to Bayanzag, known as the Flaming Cliffs or the Grand Canyon of Mongolia. This iconic site gained fame when American paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews led a groundbreaking 1920s expedition, making the first-ever discoveries of dinosaur bones and eggs. The vibrant ochre and red hues of the "flaming cliffs" now attract global attention to the Mongolian Gobi. Bayanzag also holds archaeological treasures, including stone tools from ancient human habitation sites resembling those in the American Alaska Peninsula. Dinosaur fossils such as Velociraptor, Oviraptor, Protoceratops, and Pinacosaurus can be found. Dive into an Indiana Jones-like adventure in this endless, desolate landscape.

Dundgovi Province

This day, we go to Baga Gazriin Chuluu, a remarkable destination in the northwestern part of Dundgovi province. The name translates to "stones in the small ground," and these impressive granite formations are nestled in the heart of the steppe, approximately 250 km (155.34 miles) south of Ulaanbaatar in the Delgertsogt sum. Standing at an elevation of 1751 meters (1.09 miles), Baga Gazriin Chuluu creates a granite canyon within the expansive steppe landscape. The rock faces of the cliffs have been intricately polished by erosion, forming a captivating rocky labyrinth. While some lateral entries into the canyon may pose challenges, many provide opportunities for enchanting hikes through this unique terrain. As you explore, observe inscriptions on the rock faces left by revered monks who resided there during the 19th century, adding a historical and cultural dimension to the natural beauty of Baga Gazriin Chuluu.
