This is a must do in Panama! We got to see a lot of monkeys, and they came really close to play which was super cool! There are other similar tours, but this one is better than the others for two reasons: 1. You get to do a short hike, which is way more fun than just driving through the area, which most other tours do. We saw a monkey that we wouldn't have been able to see from the car because of this. 2. This tour has the Papi boat, which is the only one that is a speedboat with music. That made it 10-20% more fun than the other boats who didn't have music. I highly recommend this tour!

Not to be missed. We saw 3 species of monkies, the howler & Caputin came right aoard our boat. Manolo, our funny guide and Carlos our talented driver, Wildlife spotter made sure we saw as much as possible. Manolo not only used his scope to show us 3-toed sloths but took photos for us with his scope. Plenty of water and 2 snacks were appreciated. The Pipeline Road hike was rough but this 75 year-old made it to the top. One could probably stop and wait for the group to return. I nearly did as my hip was giving out. But I would have missed a great photo of a colorful motmot (thanks Manolo) & an exotic looking, poisonous night moth; another great photo!

This trip is well worth your time and money while in Panama, but it’s not for those who don’t like bus rides and small boats on wavey water. Our guide, Manolo, was super knowledgeable and talked about Panama’s natural resources on the (air conditioned) bus from the center of town to the boat dock about an hour away. We got onto a small motor boat that was well protected from the hot sun, and rode out on Chagres River and Gatun Lake. (PS: don’t do this part on a full stomach…) We went to several islands and saw various species of monkey, sloths, a very big and very ugly iguana, and lots of birds. We were also able to get fairly close to a container ship that had passed through the canal. Part of our tour included a Gambon Rainforest walk, which was really interesting. We were able to see - and hear - lots of howler and capuchin monkeys, sloths, and a wild boar. But don’t forget the bug spray. The mosquitoes are hungry.

This was an excellent tour with a fabulous speedy boat ride, lots of animals to see (we saw three different varieties of monkeys, alligator, sloths, iguanas and all sorts of birds), and an excellent guide. Manolo, the guide, was funny and knowledgeable and the boat operator was eagle eyed and between them they spotted so many animals for us to see. The only criticism would be the good - which was grim and I would recommend not eating it! Otherwise, a great trip 👍. Definitely go in the morning as you will see more (in the afternoon it is too hot and the animals tend to hide in the shade).

Manolo was an excellent guide. He knew all the great spots for seeing animals and was very knowledgeable. Loved the tour!
