Durmitor National Park
Start your trip in Tivat or Podgorica, pick up your 4x4 SUV, and drive the serpentine road overlooking the Bay of Kotor. Continue through dramatic karst landscapes of lakes, canyons, and plateaus before reaching Durmitor’s high ridge. Walk around Black Lake on accessible trails surrounded by forest, flora, and fauna. Explore Durmitor National Park via its scenic ring road, keeping the ticket from Black Lake, and enjoy spectacular views from Lovćen ridge and the bay below.
Overnight in a 4 star hotel in Kolašin
Drive off-road through the lunar-like Sinjajevina Ridge, with viewpoints over the Tara Canyon and stops at alpine lakes surrounded by forest—perfect for a swim on a warm day. Continue with a rafting adventure on the turquoise Tara River beneath towering cliffs, followed by lunch at a local riverside home. Visit the famous Tara Bridge, the iconic arch spanning Europe’s deepest canyon, then detour through Kolšin due to roadworks before reaching your hotel.
Overnight in a 4 star hotel in Kolašin
Take a scenic hike around Lake Biogradska, a fairytale spot in the heart of Montenegro’s ancient forest. From there, drive off-road up sharp serpentines through the woods to the open ridges of the Bjelasica Range for sweeping views. Stop at traditional shepherds’ katuns for a rustic Montenegrin lunch before descending along logging trails into the Lim River Valley.
Overnight at a 4 stars hotel on the Adriatic Coast
Lake Skadar
Leave the mountains on an off-road trail past a historic church and continue to Lake Skadar, the Balkans’ largest lake, for a boat ride among lilies and waterfowl. From there, descend to the Adriatic coast, stop at the Sveti Stefan viewpoint—an iconic island turned luxury resort—and finish the day with an overnight stay in a coastal town.
Kotor Old Town
On the final day, enjoy a walking tour of Kotor’s Old Town, exploring its narrow alleys between the harbor and cliffs with views of the Bay of Kotor. Depending on flight time, drive to Tivat Airport, return the SUV, and conclude the trip.
